Maisie’s Cottage is all one level with patio doors opening out onto a decked area with seating so you can completely relax on your countryside break.
Located in the small medieval hamlet of North Middleton only 1½ miles from Wooler in Glendale Country, it is positioned on the foothills of the Cheviots. This area is wonderful for keen walkers and cyclists with plenty of trails to explore from the door.
Wooler itself has that country feeling while still having a market town buzz, combining home comforts with countryside. This small, friendly market town with, cafés, pubs and restaurants set on the edge of the National Park is said to have been based on ‘Postman Pats’ Greendale’, being the gateway to the Cheviots. You can be hiking the Cheviot Hills in the morning and having a local beer in one of the nearby pubs on an evening. St Cuthbert’s Way walk passes via Wooler, a 62-mile route following the ancient pilgrimage route, followed by St Cuthbert and many other monks between Melrose Abbey in the Scottish Borders and the Holy Island of Lindisfarne in north Northumberland. This property is an ideal base to explore the many wonderful places that Northumberland has to offer.
