Beautiful quiet retreat
We loved staying here. Great showers, comfy beds, and great living spaces. We loved the space and the quiet, at the same time able to explore S Wales just a bit.

Lovely place, but inaccurate listing
The farmhouse is beautiful and very cosy indeed, in a wonderful part of wales surrounded by lovely scenery. Super walks right from the door and perfect for dogs! However, the property listing is inaccurate - there is no hot tub, which was one of the main reasons we chose this place, the owner was quick to reply and mentioned they would update the listing, just be prepared! The Aga was not working, apparently a spare part is on the way, but it would have been good to have learned this in advance as the host said it had been out of action for weeks. Again a main driver for choosing this property, it meant using one small temperamental oven for all of our meals, especially frustrating with a big Christmas meal. The wood burner is a lovely feature and heats the lounge really well, but bring a lighter if you want it lit - although wood and kindling is supplied, a lighter isn’t provided as it’s considered a safety hazard. Future guests should come prepared, as the kitchen isn’t well equipped. For example we had to go out and buy things like oven gloves and a whisk. All in all it’s a lovely place to stay, especially at Christmas. Very snug and cosy and we made some lovely memories - just wish that the Vrbo details were accurate to avoid our disappointment and that there were a few more useful items supplied.

Wonderful place
The house is beautiful, in such a lovely location and very spacious. Very good value for what you get! Especially good for big groups of friends or family with a big interconnected kitchen and living room space to spend time together. Only small thing - not enough toilet paper and no detergent or kitchen roll.

Hello I'm Lance,I bought Rhiwddu Barns in 2008 and moved into the Farmhouse with my family, we stayed there for 10 years and loved every moment, to this day I still love going up there (even if it is to put the bins out!)
We moved out in 2017 to a property about 20 miles away to try our hand at Farming!
I'm Ex Army and Mountain Rescue and love everything outdoorsy, I like to keep Rhiwddu in top condition and can be found up at the site regularly with a paintbrush, I love it when like minded people enjoy themselves up there and enjoy meeting guests from all over the world, nothing pleases me more than happy guests.
