This was the perfect getaway my family needed. Communication was easy, house was perfect, location was just what we wanted. Some days it felt like we had the lake all to ourselves!
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful camp. Lake access was easy, the kayaks were fun, and the water was perfect. The screened porch overlooking the lake was the best part! Thanks for a great time.
The location was perfect for commuting between relative’s house for events. Loved sitting on the screened in porch door morning coffee and evening unwinding.
If you want to tap into the power of lake love this is the place to stay! Had everything we needed including lots of toys for the little one. Relaxing views on the deck. Very clean and it’s clear the owners put lots of hard work and thoughtfulness to make it what it was. Very grateful and lucky to have enjoyed it!
First off, great host. Responds quickly to any questions or concerns. 2/bed 1 bath lakefront home. Air conditioned bedrooms that was able to keep the house comfortable with bedroom doors left open. Great screened in porch right on the lake to have your morning coffee and enjoy the view. Quiet neighborhood with the use of kayaks and canoe. You can fish in the back of the house. Caught a few fish, but released them. Close to restaurants and grocery stores. Very close to New Hampshire. Would not hesitate to rent again.
We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at the cottage! We really hit the jackpot this entire vacation. Not only was the cottage an excellent stay but the Fall foliage was at or near peak the entire week. Many activities to do in the area including hikes on Sawyer mountain, scenic drive through the Rigeway lakes and a Conway train ride, a couple trips to Portland for the seafood, haunted walking tour and more hiking and Mass services at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Many nights enjoying the harvest moon over the Sokokis lake as well as splendid sunrises. The lake is so peaceful. Enjoyed everything and definitely recommend for anyone looking for adventure as well as peaceful solitude!
Loved the location of both the house and the town. House right on the Lake and Limerick far enough away from the crowds. Property had everything we needed. 5 year old loved the water and the climbing ropes and swing. Grandma loved sitting on the screened in porch. We also went for hikes, picked apples at Libbys and broke up the week with a day trip to Portland. We'll be back!!
My husband, teenage son, and I had a great weeklong stay at this home. We swam, fished, kayaked, and enjoyed the fire pit! We really enjoyed the screened in porch- had many morning coffees and happy hour beverages while taking in the gorgeous lake. The humming birds were amazing. It’s in a great location- 1 hour to Kennebunkport or Portland. Highly recommend and look forward to our return!
What an awesome stop! The view was amazing and the water was soooo nice. Spent mornings on the screened in porch having coffee and enjoying the sound of the loons. We had hot weather so we spent a lot of time floating in the water. The kayaks and paddle boat were a good way for a little exercise.
Some people say Limerick is in the middle of nowhere but I say it’s in the middle of everywhere. An hour to the white mountains. An hour to the coast.
The hosts were very easy to contact with any questions we had. I look forward to renting again next year
Had a lovely time. The cabin was well appointed and quite comfortable. Even though it was too cold to get out on the lake, we enjoyed exploring and watching the abundant wildlife. From the ducks and geese on the lake to the silly antics of the squirrels and the many deer we saw nightly there was always something happening outside. Because of the time of year it was almost as if we had the entire lake to ourselves. The peaceful quietness was rejuvenating. We would highly recommend this property to others!
This house was exactly as advertised. We were there in late September. The weather was cool with a hint of fall in the air. Had we been there during the summer, we would have used the kayaks and enjoyed the lake. The house was clean, well stocked with dishes and linens. It is close to Cornish, which has great restaurants and a grocery store. We will definitely stay here on our next visit to Maine. Highly recommend!!!
Sweet sweet property on Sakokis Lake. Enjoyed staying here sitting on the screened in room that overlooked the lake. This home had everything we needed and more. We used the kayaks and had fun exploring the lake. Groceries and restaurants not too far away as well as Sebago if you wish to enjoy the state park. We will return to this little piece of heaven!
Relaxing week of lake fun located near so many attractions
We had a great week at the cottage! The lake was perfect for swimming and kayaking. The screened porch was so nice in the morning and evening. Fire pit let us enjoy nights under the stars. Close enough to enjoy Portland, blueberry picking at Libby’s, shopping and dinner in Cornish at Krista’s, hiking at Burnt Meadow Mt and a white knuckle drive up to the summit of Mt. Washington in New Hampshire for a spectacular view! Our family of 4 with two teens age 17&19 had a wonderful with lasting memories. Comfortable beds and an updated bath added to our relaxation. Thank you for a much needed relaxing week!!!
The property was in a great location. Everything was clean and exceeded our expectations. Sokokis Lake is perfect for any kind of boating. We were very content just sitting on the porch overlooking the lake. Very relaxing.
Great getaway for just the 2 of us or for a family with kids..
A sweet, modest little house that met our needs perfectly. We especially loved the screened-in porch and paddle boat. The air conditioning really helped our sleep on a couple of the muggy nights. Kristen and Luis kept everything super well-stocked--even having a full carton of eggs and bottle of wine waiting for us when we checked in.
We had a great week. The location is halfway between the Maine coast and the North Conway area; however, this summer we chose this property for staying in one place, and we had everything we needed: a place to swim and kayak and enjoy the beautiful view without having to go anywhere or come in contact with anyone. The lodging was perfect for small children, and the bathroom and floors were more updated than we were expecting. The owner was quick to respond to any little issue we had. Everyone keeps asking me where we stayed after seeing our pictures. It looks perfect -- and it was!
5 Star all around property. We rented 8/3/19-8/10/19 as a family of four. The home was perfect size plenty of room. The screened in porch that overlooks the lake is a comfy place to read a book or two, which is what I did, also a lot of cribbage was played on that porch. The sitting area outside with the fire pit was also a nice relaxing spot in the morning as well as the evening. My husband brought his bass tracker boat and we caught quite a few good size bass. The kayaking was fun and just laying in the tube on the lake was relaxing.
We have to say if you like lake living this property is perfect, very close ride to the ocean too. Highly recommend Kristen and Luis property. We miss it already and will be back.

We rented for 7 nights 6/12 tp 6/19/19. My husband is a true Maine outdoorsy guy. Me, I'm not a camper, more like a glamper. This vacation was the best of both worlds. he got to fish and hike through the woods. I like to sunbathe, and I even tried kayaking and found I really liked it. The home had all the items needed for our comfort. Being who I am, I brought a lot of my own items, such as towels, cooking items, etc. I didn't need to, the home is fully stocked. All you need are groceries. There was a wonderful assortment of spices as well as basic first aid needs.
I was disheartened that we really could not venture far as the tick population this year is extreme in Maine. Bring plenty of tick repellent and a tick spoon if you plan to hike. It was the height of the pine pollen season~thankful we don't suffer from seasonal allergies.
We were visited by two families of Canadian geese that swam by the camp each morning and evening.
We enjoyed day trips into North Conway and the surrounding areas. Did some antiquing and dining at local restaurants. Most of the time was spent simply relaxing at the camp, on the water or by the firepit.
We have rented other Maine camps and this one is at the top of our list.

Quiet, peacful and charming lakehouse
My wife and I have been to Maine probably 20 times now, and this rental was our best experience yet. Beautiful location, very quiet lake in the fall, centrally located to TONS of interesting places. All the local shops and were very pleasant. My kids had a blast fishing and taking their first kayak ride. From the bottle of wine that greeted us when we walked in the door, to the welcoming front porch and fire pit area, this place has it all. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your home, we all had a great time and will be back!
