Beautiful, sunny, well-priced holiday apartment with free wi-fi and full air-conditioning in Central Cannes, near shops, restaurants, the beach, Croisette and Palais de Festival. On the first floor of a lovely old building with lift, this peaceful yet central accommodation is on the pedestrianized rue Hoche. Sleeping 5, the main sitting/dining room is bright with double doors to a sunny balcony. A well designed bright kitchen area is fully equipped for modern and easy living, with fridge/freezer, ceramic hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine etc. The three bedrooms, two doubles or twins and one single room, all overlook the courtyard at the rear and are therefore quiet and all have the same blue&white décor. The modern bathroom is equipped with double sinks, bath/shower & large mirrors. The separate toilet has sink and mirror. Large windows and high ceilings throughout the apartment give a light and airy feel and all the windows have lovely authentic old French blue shutters. A large flat-screen tv with dvd is in the comfortable sitting area with a comprehensive library of quality paperbacks, local interest books and brochures/timetables etc. and games. Free wi-fi and also free telephone calls to over l00 countries!

No need to have a car here as three minute's walk takes you to beach and Palais de Festival & two mins to the train and bus stations, making it also an easy location for exploring the whole of the Cote d'Azur. This apartment is also ideally situated for wandering around Cannes, to the markets, cafes, restaurants, beach, and shopping (or window-shopping!) along the famous rue d'Antibes, all on your doorstep. The daily Gambetta market, a couple of minute's walk away, has everything from beautiful flowers, wonderful fresh vegetables and fruit to clothes, shoes etc at amazing prices! In the old town, le Suquet, the large covered Fourville market is less than 10 mins away on foot via the cobbled quaint rue Meynardier and has a breath-takingly large range of fresh produce- a great photo opportunity. There is an antiques market there every Monday. Two-minute's away is a Monoprix departmental store with clothes etc downstairs and an excellent supermarket upstairs! The sea-front, La Croisette, is one of the highlights of a stay in Cannes. About a kilometre long, it has beach restaurants, sand, sun, sea and palm trees, a wide pavement for strolling and special Cannes blue chairs for resting and admiring the wonderful views!

Gemütliche Wohnung Mitten im Herzen von Cannes

Sehr gemütliche Wohnung, Mitten in der Stadt. Die Wohnung hat eine gute Raumaufteilung und ist mit allem was man braucht ausgestattet. Die Schlafzimmer sind gegen den Innenhof ausgerichtet und dadurch auch sehr ruhig. Wohnen und Essen gegen der Hauptstrasse, wo sich viele Cafés, Restaurants und Läden befinden. Möchte man auch dort Ruhe, sind die Fenster sehr gut isoliert. Die Wohnungsbesitzerin ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Sie gibt sehr gute Tipps und allgemeine Informationen. Alles ist für uns bestens abgelaufen und wir haben uns wie zuhause gefühlt.

Very clean, fantastic location and nicely decorated.

From the point at which we booked this accommodation, the owner was very helpful with any questions we had and remained in communication throughout our stay if we needed anything. The actual location of the apartment is perfect, with nice restaurants and bars in striking distance and 5 minutes away from the promenade and two supermarkets nearby. The little balcony provides a good view of the street and it was nice to sit out in and enjoy the fresh pastries from the nearby bakery. Overall, I would recommend this apartment and am already thinking about my next stay!

Beautiful and clean apartment in a wonderful location.

Beautiful 3 bedroomed apartment on one of the coolest streets in Cannes. Great balcony to watch the world go by plus restaurants within a few paces. Well equipped and clean. Perfect for our young family. We walked 5 mins to the beach every day. Owner very accommodating and helpful. Terrific holiday.

Hervorragende Unterkunft mitten in Cannes

Wir waren für 8 Tage in Cannes und haben die Zeit sehr genossen. Die Wohnung ist nur einige hundert Meter Palais des Festivals et des Congrès. Darüber hinaus findet man auch als Selbstversorger Lebensmittelläden und alles was man so braucht in der Nähe. Die Wohnung ist sehr schön eingerichtet; wir haben nichts vermisst. Allerdings sollte man beachten, dass die Abzugshaube so etwas wie eine Umlufthaube ist, was uns nicht sonderlich gestört hat. Trotzdem sollte man nicht allzu heftige Gerichte zubereiten.

Fabulous apartment in a superb position to explore the best of Cannes!

A lovely apartment, surrounded by many restaurants. Opposite the apartment you can walk less than 5 steps to a choice of cafes opposite where you can enjoy breakfast and an espresso coffee to set you up for the morning to explore the many shops all within a few minutes walk. The monoprix supermarket is at the end of the road so you can easily pick up all you need on a daily basis. The beach is also within easy walking distance and the availability of parasols and beach chairs in the apartment allows you to enjoy the beach in comfort. The old town and castle are also close enough to walk for a lovely view of the coast and a wander around the cobbled streets. The apartment is clean and spacious with good air con. There is a balcony at the front where you can enjoy a glass of rosé and watch the hive of activity below. We would highly recommend a stay here!

Perfect!

. The apartment was really lovely, and in such a perfect location with beach, restaurants, supermarket, and transport right on the doorstep. Veronique was there as we arrived and was very helpful. It was so convenient to only have a 2 minute walk when I arrived in Cannes by train, and there are buses too from the station - went to La Napoule one day for a walk along the coastal path, and took the bus direct to Nice airport when I left. Everything was just right for a very relaxing stay.

Perfect pedestrian location, yet only a couple of streets back from the Croisette.

The location is perfect for a stay in downtown Cannes. V.convenient for the station'bus terminus, and for the supermarket, so ideal for self-catering. Apartment is ample size for five people, possibly a squeeze for six. All mod cons, including AirCon which is essential in August. Even a balcony to do a bit of people-watching. Some marvelous bistros nearby. A shortish walk west of the marina takes you to the stretch of really good beaches - clean and a joy to use. In short . . . we all had a lovely week of R&R.

Absolutely fabulous

Fantastic and comfortable apartment in a perfect location in Cannes, convenient for everything you might require for a most enjoyable holiday. The apartment is all as promised in the description and all communication with the owner hassle free. Spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds, quiet air-conditioning, a lovely spacious living /dining area and little balcony to enjoy the morning sun. Spoilt for choice with nearby restaurants, and the train station and beach both so close to hand. Highly recommended, and would definitely return

Exceptional Holiday Experience

We spent the first week in July in Barbara’s apartment and we had a brilliant time. During the booking process Barbara was excellent to deal with and all was as described on Owners Direct with the current photographs being accurate. Key points for anyone to consider prior to booking this apartment: Location is perfect, on a quiet pedestrian street close to absolutely everything Traditional French shutters can be opened to the balcony to let the street noises in or closed to keep the heat out The apartment feels very safe being in a block with a (fob operated) security entrance on a busy street during the day and well lit at night. Very much a residential feel to the building and sleep quality is excellent Air conditioning is in the lounge/kitchen area and all three bedrooms and is very efficient For supplies Monoprix is literally 100m away and all food is on the 2nd floor (up a well hidden escalator) The beaches are only 150m away with both private and public options. We tried Plage Mace first (closest beach to the apartment), this being a public facility and we didn’t need anything else for the entire week. Even at its busiest there was always more than enough space and the sand (and sea) was always in pristine condition Restaurants. Way too many options. We have eaten at the finest restaurants from Barbados to Zermatt and we would say Cannes is at the top of the pile. Every night was a different experience but the food, wine and service was always exemplary. Expect to be extremely well fed for around 85-95 Euros per couple including wine A typical day consisted of breakfast in the kitchen/diner before pulling on no more than a light tee shirt, swimwear and flip flops for a couple of hours on the beach returning at around noon for a leisurely (cool) lunch while temperatures soared to mid-30s outside. Then a short walk to the beach for another couple of hours mid afternoon, returning for a leisurely shower (excellent water pressure) before getting ready for dinner. If you’ve read this far then our only other advice is simply to go ahead and make your booking because you will not be disappointed. Add in the fact that Barbara offers a superb pre booking service, Veronique (the local contact) is always on hand for any assistance needed, that the apartment is spotlessly clean, that the air con is cool and very (very) welcome, that you are close to absolutely everything you will need and we simply wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else.

Beautiful appartment in the centre of cannes

Fantastic little gem in the heart of cannes. Excellent access to shops , restaurants and five minute walk to the lovely beach and the croissette. The apartment is bright and airy lovely little balcony to watch the world go by, a home from home . Will definitely stay again . Barbara was great for giving us all the information for our holiday , and making everything run smoothly, everything was perfect. I would highly recommend this appartment for both comfort and location , a true find in the heart of cannes.

What a great holiday!

We had such a great time in Barbara's apartment. There were 4 of us: 2 adults and 2 kids, so we each had our own bedroom. The beds were super comfortable, we slept so well! And the air conditioning worked perfectly. We live in Bahrain, so are used to air conditioning at all times of day, and we were pleased to see that the a/c really cooled properly. The living room is large and bright. The place really feels like a holiday flat. Now, the location: AMAZING!!! Right next to restaurants, a supermarket, one 1 minute walk to the main street, just amazing! We loved every minute of our 2 week holiday there, and we look forward to going back!

Home from home

We had an amazing time in cannes.The apartment was everything the listing said and more. It was central and literally 3 minutes to everything,the beaches,the designer shops,the train station and the restaurants.the apartment was a home away from home,it had everything you could possibly want.Barbara is only a phone call away and nothing is to much trouble for her.As a family we had an amazing time and can't wait to come again.

Beautiful clean spacious property!

The property was spacious and very well equipped. There is certainly room for a second sofa and given that the property sleeps 6 comfortably, I do feel extra, more comfortable seating is needed. The location of this apartment is perfect, near the train station, main shopping area and within 5 minutes from harbour and the old town too! The street is pedestrianised most of the day which is a bonus! You really do not need a car if you stay here, Nice is half hour by train and Monte Carlo is an hour away!! We would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend this apartment!!

A Special Place

Right in the centre of cannes, close to everything, this apartment is truly a special place. It is elegant and spacious with high ceilings and spotlessly clean - a rare find! My husband and I have had a number of glorious holidays here and hopefully will have many more. With the beach being merely minutes away an early morning swim before breakfast is the perfect way to start the day. What we enjoy most is not needing a car. The train and bus stations are close and services are very often and regular and not expensive. This review comes with the highest recomendation.

A Gem of a Find

What a great apartment. Very comfortable,and tastefully decorated. The location of this apartment was superb.Right in the middle of everything,and only 5 minutes walk to the beach. Railway station three minutes away. The apartment was very clean and well maintained. Barbara the landlady couldnt have been more helpful We really loved our holiday,and will definately rent this lovely central apartment. I loved sitting on the balcony with my coffee watching the world go by.

Perfect Apartment

My company has rented this apartment every year for the past five years and has had a wonderful, perfect, easy experience every single time. It has three bedrooms, two of which have queen beds and one of which has a twin. So it sleeps at least 5 people very comfortably. It also has a washing machine and clotheslines to wash clothes. It is about a two-minute walk to the beach/Palais area. The balcony overlooks a quiet street and a great cafe/restaurant. It is also only two blocks from the supermarket (Monoprix), where you can basically get everything you will need for your stay. One thing to note is that there is only one bathroom, but the shower and toilet are in separate rooms, so it still works out great for multiple people. Barbara, the owner/operator, is always reachable, polite and immediately helpful with any questions you might have. I've had nothing but great experiences with this place and hope to be able to keep renting it for years to come!

Our daughter was at Aix en Provence University and then worked along the Riviera coast for some time. She kept returning to Cannes and we soon got to know and love it as much as she did! It of course has a reputation for glitz and glamour during the Film Festival but it is also a normal working town which means there is something going on all the year round whereas many other locations along the Cote d'Azur can be closed and quiet in the off season. There is always something to see, from the sea front, to the harbour, the old town and the markets, not to mention the wonderful shops in the town centre. You can relax or not as the mood takes you and there are always people enjoying the pleasures of Cannes and we love to join them!

Why they chose this property

Knowing Cannes so well, we were happy to wait until the right apartment in the right place became available and we have never regretted the wait! We now have what we think is the perfect location for beach, shops and station, a sunny balcony, big windows and lovely old shutters throughout, making it bright, sunny and airy inside. All the bedrooms are on the back of the apartment overlooking the courtyard at the rear and therefore nice and quiet and our main living room overlooks the rue Hoche and has one set of large windows and also a set of large french windows on to the balcony so a sunny room in which to relax or dine!

What makes this property unique

We can be on the beach in a few minutes, have everything we need on the doorstep and easy access to the railway station and buses. We love walking and are spoilt for choice in Cannes, with the Croisette, the harbour, the old town and plenty more accessible via the railway, which must be one of the most scenic in France. It is so easy to visit the other resorts along the Cote d'Azur from Cannes and having no need for a car is certainly a bonus here.
