About this property
Pretty Cottage with Open Fire, Garden, Fields and Woods. Pet-Friendly EV Charger
Pella is a beautiful country cottage nestled in 12 acres of land, just a short distance from the historic harbour town of Fowey and beaches. Tastefully decorated in Farrow and Ball colours with a mixture of antique and modern furniture, this cottage is the perfect destination to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Younger guests can play in the woods and fields while you enjoy the large south facing patio with views across the countryside. Perfect for dog owners, families and friends.
The space
What makes Pella so special is, you are not restricted to its large private garden and orchard, but have access to the woods and fields which make up the 12 acres of grounds. Once an ancient hamlet dating back to the 13th century, Little Pinnock, Pella is one of three detached houses which we fell in love with and now let as holiday cottages.
This is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life but still be only a few miles from the historic harbour town of Fowey and the surrounding beaches. Our children loved building dens, having adventures, playing hide and seek in the woods or splashing about in the shallow stream before returning with rosy cheeks and hearty appetites. For the less energetic there is a large south facing patio, perfect for soaking up the sun or an evening BBQ with a chilled glass of your choice.
Entering the cottage, you are welcomed by an open plan high beamed living area with a large log fire to warm any chilly evening. (The cottage also has central heating). At the other end of the room is the well equipped Kitchen diner with seating for six people. Along a small corridor and down two steps you’ll find the large master bedroom with double bed and ensuite bathroom with a Victorian roll top bath.
Upstairs you’ll find a small hallway, shower room/toilet and the second bedroom with its oak beams and sloping ceilings. This bedroom has both a double and a single bed with views across the orchard.
Guest access
Pella has its own private garden but guests have access to the woods and fields which are shared with two other holiday homes on the 12 acre grounds. The gardens of the other two properties are private and not communal.
Other things to note
There are two other detached holiday cottages, each with private gardens, on the same estate.
We are pet friendly pets charged at £50.00 per pet per visit.

About the host
Hosted by Suzanne Kennedy

Hi I am Suzanne, I have made Fowey Cornwall my home for about 25 years. My family and I used to come down here on holiday and fell in love with this part of Cornwall.
I love living in this amazing County, I play golf, sail, walk with our dog Ted, cook, read and do the gardens at Little Pinnock.
I was originally born in Sri Lanka to British and Dutch parents but came to the UK when I was 12yrs old.
We go back and forth to Sri Lanka as I still have family out there.
I have two children and now two grand children. Our children loved playing in the fields and woods and now our grandchildren love doing the same.

Why they chose this property
We chose this area as we used to come here on holiday about 25yrs ago and just fell madly in love with Fowey because it still has a lovely Cornish feel with its beautiful coves, fishing boats and just a slow pace of life.
What makes this property unique
Our properties are unique because we bought a complete ancient hamlet, that time had forgotten. The buildings were completely derelict and we sent 5 years bringing them back to life again.
We loved every moment of the hard work that went into building it all back, but knew that one day it would be beautiful.
