Bathroom 1: Walk-In Shower, Toilet. Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. . Small rear courtyard. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking.. Tryfar House is perfectly positioned just minutes’ walk to the centre of Harlech, where you will find a small grocery deli, cafés, the local pub, ice cream parlour - not forgetting the imposing Harlech Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which stands prominently on the rock face. A few minutes’ walk down the hill to the world class Royal St Davids links golf course, more local pubs, and another convenience store. There are miles of idyllic coastline to explore, with picture perfect beaches and dunes you’ll be spoilt for choice, the closest within a 20-minute walk.
Bustling Barmouth is just a short drive away; take a walk along the promenade and indulge in some fish and chips. An iconic feature of the town is Barmouth Bridge, an over 150-year-old railway viaduct across the Mawddach Estuary. It is half a mile in length, with a wooden promenade suitable for pedestrians or cyclists which now forms part of the Wales Coast Path and the Lon Las Cymru Cycle Network. Nantcol waterfalls are just a few miles away and offer a great day out, a perfect place for a picnic. Porthmadog is 10 miles; an attractive harbour town, it is home to the Ffestiniog Steam Railway and the Welsh Highland Railway. The attractive Italianate village of Portmeirion is nearby and a ‘must visit’ whilst in the area.
Blaenau Ffestiniog is a historic mining town is a short drive of 25 minutes, best known for being the slate capital of the world, having recently been awarded the acclaimed UNESCO World Heritage Site. The area is a mecca for any outdoor enthusiasts, with bike trails, climbing, kayaking, and walking routes in abundance. Here you will also find the award winning Llechwedd slate caverns/Zip World, a great day out, there are various activities for all interests such as deep mine tours, underground golf, ziplines and much more.
