With a cosy wood burner and perfect for couples or up to three people, this immaculately presented cottage is set on a quiet arable farm with a resident herd of Welsh mountain ponies. This charming middle cottage is one of three properties on site, and offers a mix of old and new with local pieces of furniture and artefacts which reflect the owner’s high regard for the local area. The super comfy beds are bespoke-made in the UK, and the bedding is all sustainable cotton, reflecting the owner’s love of sustainability throughout the cottage. Located only a few minutes’ walk from a very dog-friendly popular pub, the cottage is ideal to return to and relax around the charming wood burner. On a sunny morning or evening, sit on the small patio area at the front overlooking the fields and relax and unwind.
Perfectly located for exploring the whole of Northumberland, Tyneside and Durham, with easy access to many of the roads leading to the top tourist spots in the county, this property is the perfect base for outdoor enthusiasts. Local beaches are within a couple of miles, with Seaton Sluice being only 2 miles away, with miles of golden sands and some fabulous eateries offering local produce. A beautiful walk from the door takes you to St Mary’s Lighthouse, and the helpful owner has left plenty of information on local walks and cycle routes, with the Waggonways Cycle Path right on the doorstep.
Cullercoats and Tynemouth are nearby, where Tynemouth Priory, bespoke shops, fine collection of pubs and a great Sunday indoor market await. The pretty little cafés at Cullercoats are great to sit outside on a sunny day. Tynemouth’s award-winning beach is famous for surfers and holidaymakers who love to spend time here on a sunny afternoon out.
The property is within easy access to the main roads, meaning you can head further up north to the beautiful Heritage Coast, where a visit to Alnwick with its famous castle and cobbled streets should not be missed.
