Slightly further afield, Nelson’s Dockyard National Park is one of five national parks in Antigua. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, this eighteenth-century British naval dockyard is an area of great historical significance on the island, as well as a popular venue for maritime events and activities. There are plenty of fantastic trekking trails around the island, taking in sandy beaches, rainforests and dreamlike coastal views. From the summit, enjoy the panoramic views, before descending to Cades Bay for a delightfully refreshing dip in the ocean.
