We loved our stay! We enjoyed kayaking, making a campfire on the beach every night and watching the sunsets. The cottage is located on a private beach. It is quiet and relaxing. A premier location for a family. Highly recommend!

Perfect get-away
Thank you for sharing this beautiful cottage. The unique architecture and user-friendly setting makes it a one-of-a-kind experience. The stretch of beach on the property is amazing. And, when mother nature sends a cold north wind, there's all the wood you need for a cozy fire. Thanks for letting us bring our little water lab - she loved the lake as much as we did. Hope we can return soon.

Charming cottage
We absolutely loved staying here - gorgeous views of the lake from so many rooms in the house, and of course being steps from the beach was wonderful. Karen was an excellent host and answered our questions in a timely manner. Great biking right outside the door through the tunnel of trees!

Absolutely perfect location
We loved it. Had family fly in from NC and Mexico and this was their first taste of northern Michigan. It was the perfect place overall. The only "heads up" I think I can give you would be to be prepared to set a LOT of fruit fly traps. Lots and lots of bugs, but it's to be expected -- this is a cottage in the woods at the beach! One shower (no bathtub) was difficult with young kids, but overall worth making it work!

Wonderful 180 degree view right on Lake Michigan. Swimming, kayaking, incredible sunsets, brilliant star gazing...this place has it all for people who love the outdoors. Visit the Black Barn in Cross Village for fresh food! We hope to come back next summer!

Charming Cottage and Gorgeous Location
We truly enjoyed our stay in this lovely and comfortable home near the charming town of Cross Village. However with the amazing location of this home right on the shores of Lake Michigan we never wanted to leave. With its own private sandy beach we spent so much time there during the day and on clear nights the view of the stars was spectacular to say the least. We felt so fortunate to have had this beautiful experience and would love to come back again.

Lake Time
Our family loved this lake house. Hearing the waves while we slept was one of our favorite parts. It was great to be able to bring our dog too. We can’t wait to come back!

A Lovely Week
There aren't words to describe the spectacular views of Lake Michigan, not only from the sunny deck, but from the many windows that overlook the lake. I loved the living areas in the cottage, the feeling of remoteness, and yet the proximity to Cross Village and Good Hart. And, of course, the lake access - just a few steps down to the beach. It was a wonderful experience - everyone had a great time. Thank you for sharing it with us!

Best Lake Michigan Relationship
Sitting on the deck with chairs bench and table projecting onto the beach was a marvelous way to enjoy the view with meals. The layout of the living spaces and bedroom, porch, and deck is so comfortable! We enjoyed the two person and a dog kayak. We’ll be back next year.

Brighton folks
Just left and so miss that wonderful veranda! Great week! We are already looking to returning same time next year. Pictures do not give it justice...wonderful Lake Michigan rental...exemplitifies "pure Michigan"!! Thank you so very much for sharing this treasure! We so enjoyed your dish TV (not available in most rentals in the area) and hope you may consider wi-Fi in the future. :). We actually only took a couple day trips because we so loved the home! Home away from home could not be any better...who lives on Lake Michigan and can watch it's ever changing personality? Thanks to the Graham's!

Almost heaven
Comfortably furnished with a nicely equipped kitchen with all appliances in perfect working order. Airy sleeping, even on cooler evenings. Very easy beach access via solid, built-in steps, and wonderful, wonderful, WONDERFUL sunsets. The chipmunks are a delight, please continue to keep them around. I'd spend my entire summer there if I could.

The owner was very easy to work with. We enjoyed many happy hours on the deck overlooking the beautiful lake and sunsets. Everything was clean and the "Tunnel of Trees" road, just outside our door, was driven by us many times. The site depicted the house well, however, there were no pictures of the baths. We found out only after we arrived that there is no shower, only a bathtub.

After spending a weekend ...
After spending a weekend at this cottage in Cross Village, my husband and I decided to move from East Lansing to Harbor Springs. We loved staying here --the sunsets are magic and as a bonus, we got to watch a thunderstorm move in on the horizon. Wonderful.

What makes this property unique

I love to enjoy a relaxing morning cup of coffee out on the deck. Freighters can be seen and heard passing through the Straights-- count the lighthouses (there are 4) Sunsets and the night sky are incredible--sometimes meteor showers, and sometimes the Northern Lights make an appearance.
