About this property
SWINSIDE, pet friendly, with a garden in Keswick
Swinside in High Lorton, Cumbria, sleeps four guests in two bedrooms.
The living areas in this single-storey lodge consist of an open-plan kitchen, dining area and sitting area with a gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, TV and electric fire. The bedrooms consist of a king-size with en-suite cloakroom and a twin, serviced by a shower room. Outside there is a wrap-around, decked veranda with furniture, and off-road parking for two cars. Two well-behaved dogs welcome, but sorry, no smoking. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. You'll find a shop in 0.5 miles and a pub in 1.2 miles. For a rural escape to Cumbria, book Swinside. Note: There are steps up to the lodge; please take care. Note: A fishing lake is nearby, which guests can benefit from with a permit. Note: The property rests on a working farm.
Amenities: Gas central heating. Gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer. TV. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen inc. in rent. Towels are not provided. Off-road parking for 2 cars. WiFi available. Wrap-around decked veranda with furniture. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 0.5 miles, pub 1.2 miles. Note: There are steps up to the lodge; please take care. Note: A fishing lake is nearby, which guests can benefit from with a permit. Note: The property rests on a working farm
Region: Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.
Town: Despite being only 13 miles from Keswick, the sleepy agricultural market town of Cockermouth is located in the peaceful northwest region of the Lake District. The National Trust presently operates Wordsworth's Georgian family home on the main street, which is a well-liked tourist destination. The town is well-known for being the birthplace of both Fletcher Christian (of Mutiny on the Bounty fame) and William Wordsworth. Cockermouth has a nice selection of stores, bars, and restaurants, but (obviously) the area's major draw is the stunning scenery and fantastic hiking in the northern lakes, including Bassenthwaite Lake, Ennerdale Water, and Derwent Water.
