BALWEN SHEPHERD'S HUT, romantic, character holiday cottage in Berriew
Balwen Shepherd's Hut in Garthmyl, Powys, sleeps two guests in a studio-style layout.
Electric underfloor heating. Gas two-ring hob, combi microwave/oven, kettle, toaster. TV and WiFi. Fuel, power, and starter pack for woodburning stove inc. in rent (Wood is available to purchase for other times). Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Two bathrobes are provided. Off-road parking for 1 car. Enclosed front garden with furniture, fire pit and wood-fired hot tub. There is also a barbecue available if guests bring charcoal. The property is also on the Lon Cambria cycling route and is also near Offa's Dyke and the Severn Way along the canal,so there are plenty of beautiful cycling and walking routes. The property also has fishing rights for the River Severn for course fish, Grayling and fly fishing for Trout when in season, guests just need to bring their EA licence which can be purchased online. Lots of local pubs such as The Nag's Head and The Greenhouse cafe and plant nursery are also nearby.. Shop 2 miles, pub 0.5 miles, river on-site. Welshpool railway station is approximately a 10 minute drive. Note: There is a campsite nearby and Bron Hafren B & B is also nearby. Note: There are steps up into the hut.
