Set within a rural area that overlooks Dartmoor, with wonderful views, this is a spectacular conversion of an old chapel with superb features and galleried walkway on the upper level. The property is located on the edge of the hamlet of Lewdown, overlooking Dartmoor itself, and is in an ideal location for cycling, walking and inland water sports.
This old chapel has been lovingly restored to create an open-plan, three-bedroom property with vaulted ceiling and has plenty of parking and a garden to the side.
Throughout the property everything has been completed to a high standard. The well-equipped kitchen with granite worktops houses all your culinary requirements and features a Tassimo coffee machine and an espresso coffee machine, as well as a Kenwood chef. The dining area features a large, solid oak table with plenty of seating. The open plan ground floor area is dominated by the exposed stone chimney breast housing the wood burner, a feature in this property which is almost unique in its splendour. On this lower level you also have a utility room and a shower room. The living area, with the breakfast bar, is a delight to enjoy.
Head upstairs to the galleried surround of the living area, with panelled glass so you can appreciate the open space of the property. Here you will find a master bedroom with en-suite facilities, a twin bedroom and a bunk bedroom. All rooms have storage space to cater for your needs.
Located in the hamlet of Lewdown in Devon, close to the historic towns of Tavistock and Launceston, and some wonderful places to visit such as Roadford Lake for water-based activities. Lydford Gorge is a beautiful National Park to visit, the moors are waiting to be explored, or take a trip to Tavistock for a great selection of bars and restaurants. Nearby you can enjoy a round of golf on a sunny day. Head further afield to Plymouth or down into Cornwall for fantastic scenery and beaches. With both children and adults having a great choice of activities, this unique property is a great base to enjoy, relax and unwind in.
