Tucked away in the Laurel Highlands Mountains, Yough Mountain House sits on 10 acres of land, one mile from the Youghiogheny River, two miles away from the small town of Confluence, and 2 1/2 miles from the Great Allegheny Passage bike trail. Our custom built home is well equipped and clean. The open floor plan in the kitchen/living area and large deck with grill provide a wonderful place to socialize. The house has many windows and a beautiful view of Sweet Run Hollow Creek which runs alongside the entire stretch of property that lies amongst a ten acre lot. Yough Mountain House can accommodate between 2-8 people. We have 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths, and a pull-out sleeper sofa. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and full bath including a jacuzzi tub and a beautifully designed, separate standing glass encased shower. The second and third bedrooms have queen sized beds and share a separate full sized bathroom. Without leaving our property you can enjoy the natural beauty of the area while relaxing on our spacious deck, which includes a patio set, hot tub and grill. The Yough Mountain House has beautiful views during all four distinct seasons and is in close proximity to various events that occur throughout the year.

House is very comfortable and property is great! The description on the listing is accurate. The check-in and check-out processes were simple. The owner responded quickly to the inquiry. The only drawback is that the hot tub was broken, which was not the fault of the owner. We would love to stay again!
Beautiful scenery, quiet and peaceful. Nice house, very roomy and clean

Fall getaway
The house is in a great quiet location It was clean but did have a stale odor. We enjoyed the yard but expected it to be larger. We didn't use the hot tub but it seemed well maintained. Kitchen was well stocked. All in all we had a great time.
The Yough house is a cute property nestled in its own space, but close enough to the community if you need to grab some eggs or firewood. It was spacious for my family of 4 (mom, dad, daughter-7, and son-5) and we enjoyed our time. This was our 3rd year ending our summer in Ohiopyle, visiting the parks, hiking, relaxing, etc. It's not a long drive to the water, trails, etc. We love to cook and appreciated the double stove for our meals. My kids really enjoyed baths in the jacuzzi tub, corn toss and the huge lego board box. The beds and couches are comfy. The house gets great light from all the windows throughout. The yard is a great size. We played frisbee, soccer, had a picnic, and enjoyed the fire pit.
A wonderful place to stay. House is very spacious met all our needs. Location was perfect for our trip everything we did was near by. If we ever come back to the area I would stay definitely stay again.
My husband and I stayed here 2 nights for our anniversary. Overall we were happy with our stay. The jetted tub in the master bathroom was awesome and stargazing at night by the fire was incredible! The town of Confluence is very close, but almost all shops close around 6 or 7 pm; except the dollar general.
Overall the stay was good. The proprty had most everything you would need. Would have liked to know they didnt stock propane ahead of time as we had brought food to grill. House itself was clean albeit a little outdated. Property outside was fine but a little run down. Overall it was a good place to stay when spending the majority of your time outdoors at the local parks.
We had a great time in Confluence this past weekend. Loved going from hot tub to snow and back. Great space to get together with friends and family.

Great location, close to Falling Water and Ohiopyle
Was looking for a rural setting, quiet and secluded and this place fit the bill in that regard.
Pros: Very spacious and relatively clean on the inside.
Hot tub was clean and very enjoyable
Close to Ohiopyle and Falling Water and Confluence downtown
Cons: There is no view of the creek, too overgrown to see anything.
Outside needs cleaning, windows, steps, handrails, lots of webs and bugs.
Was missing some basic things, no ice maker or ice cube trays, no dishsoap.
Could use a couple end tables or coffee table to sit a drink
Oven was extremely dirty, baking pans need to be replaced (baked on food)
Being highly allergic to cats, the overly friendly cat trying to get in the house every time we came and went was a bit much.
Overall enjoyable stay due to quiet location and proximity to local attractions. Happened upon Confluence annual Pumpkinfest, this small town knows how to throw a fall festival...so many food trucks!
This is a nice homey place to stay for a regional experience. We enjoyed the autumn color change from the deck. The hot tub is private enough since there is little traffic on the mountain road. The master suite is spacious . The cat is friendly and offered 2 chipmunks. The yard is spacious for kids to play, or adults. There is a fire ring for campfire. Bring your own wood. Verizon had poor connection, but the Wi-Fi is good. In winter, this might be hard to access without a truck. Definitely ask, if that is your hope.
Nice place - Price was right - Could use a few repairs, some maintenance and a good deep cleaning - Came with a really neat cat though

Nice house
House semi clean with the exception of under the rubbish can in kitchen was loaded with dirt. The kitchen counters we wiped down on arrival were very dirty. The host never got back to me about the key, the house was open and we found the keys on the kitchen counter. I emailed her but no response.
Had a nice weekend away with friends in this mountain house. Plenty of space for us to gather and then have room to ourselves. We ended up buying water from a store nearby, the sulfuric smell from the well water was too much. Bathrooms and bedrooms were clean and well-maintained, though we found evidence of mice in the main living space. Lady Luna was charming and sweet, staying close by whenever we were outside enjoying the yard.
The house is in a great country setting on a VERY quiet road. Very clean and well appointed. Could NEVER ask for better hosts. Anytime we had issues or questions we received a very prompt reply and things were addressed in a very reasonable timeframe. Very kind, respectful and fair hosts. Stay here! You won't be disappointed!
We rented this thoughtfully laid out house while we attended our granddaughters HS graduation and to host her graduation party for immediate family. It was PERFECT! Great location, beautiful setting and room for everyone! It's set back from the road in a quiet location with a large lawn. It's conveniently located near the cute town of Confluence which has everything you need for an enjoying stay. Brandy is a gracious host and was extremely responsive to our questions. We'd definitely stay there again.

Hosted by Brandy I. Freese
My name is Brandy I. Freese. I grew up in the Confluence area my entire life. I am a full-time special education teacher and live approximately two miles away from the house.
Why they chose this property
I first purchased this property from my grandfather in 2006. I wanted to buy this land because it was the place that I lived with my parents when I was first born. Built in 2009, I lived in the home for 8 years, until I moved and changed it to the Yough Mountain House of May 2017.
What makes this property unique
Only 2 miles from the town of Confluence and 9 miles from the town of Ohiopyle, Yough Mountain House has all the ammenties one would want/need from home. With an ample amount of outdoor space, Yough Mountain house is the perfect place for small or large group gatherings.
What made me fall in Love with my home was the beautiful views and the peaceful setting.
