Short term stay, maybe.

This property is listed as a deluxe apartment with 1 1/2 baths and accommodations for four. The condo is well located in Marina Vallarta but unfortunately the owner has tried to convert a one bedroom one bathroom unit into two bedrooms. The second sleeping area should be the living room. What is now the living room with only a small sofa should be the eating area. There are no side chairs nor coffee table in the current living room area. We used our suitcase as a coffee table. The furnishings in the unit are modest at best, not what we expect for a VRBO condo. The kitchen is poorly equipped. The unit is workable for a very short stay but not if you are there for a week or two as we were. The position of the range hood is dangerous. There was only one wine glass. A coffee maker was provided after the first week. The master bedroom is comfortable with an ensuite bathroom, but this is the only bathroom. If additional guests were staying in the second sleeping area they would have to walk through the master suite to get to the bathroom. Very awkward during the night. This unit has nice potential - view, location and building facilities, but it should be set up as a one bedroom without the second sleeping area. Other units in the building reflect the original layout before the partition walls were installed. The owner’s charges for weekly cleaning and electricity are excessive! We enjoy the Marina area and would return to this location, but not this unit.
