Located in the heart of Berwick-upon-Tweed, Scotsgate House is a fantastic choice for self-catering staycations in Northumberland and the Borders.
The Space:
With a neutral colour scheme and modern furnishings, Scotsgate House has a homely and welcoming feel. When booking this holiday home, you’ll have full access to the apartment which includes a kitchen diner, living room with a second dining area, two bedrooms, and a family bathroom.
Scotsgate House has a bright and spacious living room with comfortable sofas and a flat screen TV making it perfect for relaxing. Sharing the space is a dining table accompanied by six chairs.
With light wood cabinets and cream wall tiles, the kitchen has a modern and clean look. You’ll have everything you could need to prepare meals easily during your stay as the kitchen is fully equipped with appliances and cookware. Sharing this space is a second dining area which features a wooden table and matching chairs.
You’ll find two bedrooms at Scotsgate House. The master bedroom boasts a king size bed and the second bedroom is a twin which can also be merged into a super-king upon request. Both bedrooms have premium bed linens and ample storage space.
The family bathroom has a bathtub, WC and wash basin. An ensuite can also be found attached to the master bedroom, and this space is home to a walk-in shower, WC and basin.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to Scotsgate House are accessed via a secure key safe box and full details will be provided prior to your stay.
A number of public car parks can be found around Berwick-upon-Tweed.
A maximum of two well-behaved dogs are welcome to stay at Scotsgate House per reservation.

There will be plenty of history for you to uncover as you can visit Berwick Barracks, The Main Guard and the town’s old courtroom. The town also has a number of inspiring art galleries on offer including The Granary Gallery, Berwick Museum and Art Gallery and Dockside Gallery.
Getting Around:
Berwick-upon-Tweed is within 45 minutes’ drive time of other popular Northumberland destinations such as Alnwick, Alnmouth, Seahouses and Bamburgh so it’s perfectly located for exploring.
Berwick-upon-Tweed train station is a short 10-minute walk from Scotsgate House with regular services to Newcastle, Edinburgh, Morpeth, York and London.
There are also a number of bus routes through the town. Hop on the X15 Arriva bus which travels to Newcastle and has stops in Belford, Alnwick and Morpeth. If you’d like to visit Craster, Seahouses, Bamburgh, Amble or Alnmouth, the X18 Arriva bus will take you there.
