Rose Cottage is in the centre of the pretty village Bembridge; a popular and sought after location with idyllic beaches and coastline and a wonderful village hub that is as vibrant as it is discerning. Sleeping 7 guests and able to cater for 7 adults, this period home has an abundance of charm and character and would be perfect for bringing the family too. Arranged with a ground floor bedroom, with adjacent bathroom, King-size bedroom, twin bedroom, and a separate single bedroom in the annex area of the cottage. There is an L-shaped living room with doors into a lovely dining room/sunroom that accesses the charming cottage gardens. The front has ample parking for 2 vehicles, with an advisory to reverse on if coming with more than one car.

An interesting house in a great location

The house and garden have great potential and the location is good in terms of the village and the whole island. Whilst the accommodation is spacious, the layout of rooms and furnishings meant that we spent a great part of our time in one or two rooms. The front downstairs rooms are not comfortably furnished. The kitchen is good in terms of size but was under-equipped for the number in the house. The oven and stove were unreliable, although the owners attended to the problems by the following day. The majority of the bedrooms are comfortable. The garden has potential but this is not maximised for visitors e.g. the summer house is currently used as a storage area. Information for guests (both in terms of the house and local area attractions) is limited.

Spacious historic house in great location

We had a great stay at Rose Cottage. The house was perfectly located in the centre of the town to walk to the beach and 2mins from the shops! Even though it’s in the heart of the village, the garden and house provided a lovely retreat. The house has lots historical features and charm - I can imagine it would be great for hosting drinks or parties.
