It really does ensure a relaxing break as, once you arrive, you won’t need to go far. That said, there’s still ample opportunities to head out and explore the rest of Devon’s natural beauty. Including Torquay and Brixham, which are only a short 15-minute drive.
Like the rest of the English Riviera, Paignton boasts sub-tropical palms and calm waters that make ideal swimming and paddle boarding conditions. In summer, enjoy long days soaking up the sun on Broadsands Beach or Paignton Sands. In winter, take to the nearby coastal path for invigorating walks through the countryside.
There’s so much to do in the local area: visit the animals at Paignton Zoo, enjoy a boat tour or ferry ride, and visit the numerous local museums and art galleries. Find more local tips and tricks in our Guest Guide, which is available upon bookin
