If you don’t fancy walking around, you can hire e-bikes too. The Heritage Centre and the Campbeltown Museum are well worth a visit and there is an area in the garden of the museum that has been dedicated to the late Lady Linda McCartney. There are a few whisky distilleries and a gin one too, where you can visit and enjoy a tour, a tasting session or the gin school, well worth booking in advance!
For those who like some adventure, you can go to the Davaar Island Caves where you will see some spectacular paintings of the crucifixion; please remember to check the tide times for getting back. There are also boat trips form the harbour, one of which can take you over to Ballycastle in Northern Ireland. Rhuside was a family home for many years and the owners enjoyed their holidays there, there is so much to do just by walking down the main street, or going a bit further afield but one thing is sure, you will make many memories at Rhuside and Campbeltown.
