About this property

2100 Sq Ft A- frame located at Blue Knob ski area. House sits on Golf course hole #8. 5 minute drive to the lifts at the top of the mountain. I also just installed a Nema 1450 outlet for EV charging.

Newly furnished with 1 king, 3 queens and 2 sets of full on bottom twin on top bunk beds. PLEASE NOTE you will need to bring your own bed sheets and pillow cases.

We have 4 flat screen TV's that are 4K Smart TV’s
The main sitting area also has a gas fireplace and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the golf course.

The finished basement has a flat screen TV with Xbox. Please bring your own Xbox games.

Kitchen is fully equipped with multiple appliances , and cookware to cook large meals. We also have a K-Cup coffee maker.

Blue Knob Ski Area offer the highest elevation ski area in PA as well as the highest vertical and longest runs in PA.
The ski resort was just purchased by new owners this past summer and huge improvements are planned for their snow making systems as well as lodge.

The golf course also provides a wonderful place for morning or evening walks in spring, summer and fall and cross country skiing in the winter.

There is mountain biking and hiking that surrounds the golf course plus miles and miles of mountain biking and hiking in Blue Knob State Park 10 minutes away. (see attached screen shot from MTB project) Its also worth mentioning The Allegrippis Trail system which many consider to be the best MTB biking on the East Coast is 45 minutes away at Raystown Lake. Raystown Lake is also well known for its fishing.

Outstanding Property & Host

The cabin was just as described. The location and amenities were top notch. We enjoyed time by the fire pit as well as several days at the pool and a round of golf. We ate lunch at the Blue Knob Bar and Grill. The food, atmosphere and people were all great. A shout out to John on his responsiveness. When we arrived there was very little firewood for the fire pit and even though it’s summer we still spend a lot of time outside and enjoy the fire. John had a truck load delivered and stacked for us! We could not have asked for better hospitality. We would definitely stay again and recommend to others as well. Thanks again for sharing your space with us.

Beautiful

The area is beautiful! We were able to relax on the porch, the pool is down the street, and the views from the top of the mountain are breathtaking. The owner was very responsive to any questions i had. Great vacation!

Fall getaway

This property had everything we needed and is very comfortable. It is located in a very peaceful setting with views of trees, the golf course and some incredible sunrises on the back deck. We loved it. It was hard to leave. The owner responded very quickly to my questions. Thank you John!

Very nice cabin

The cabin was really nice....much nicer than I expected. Easy access to nearby hiking trails. John replied quickly to any questions/comments I had. I would definitely stay at this place again when I am vacationing in this area.

AMAZING

This was a beautiful house and our family had an incredible vacation. John (owner) was super helpful and replied very quickly to all questions. The place is perfect for a relaxing and family-oriented stay in the woods. We loved the ping pong table and had family tournaments. The porch was perfect for morning coffee and reading! Great house!

We really enjoyed our stay! Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for our family. We stayed for 2 weeks while our kids were at a wrestling camp nearby and it was so nice to have a full kitchen, room for our dog, and a nice place to relax at the end of the day! We even fit in some golf on the Blue Knob course. John was a great communicator too! We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful experience

We had the best time at this cabin. The place was beautiful and the atmosphere was peaceful and serene. It had more than enough room for all of us and was super easy to get to. The owner, John was quick to answer any questions I had and was available if we needed him but everything was perfect and that was not necessary. We would love to return here.

Nice home

Some window blinds in the main family room were missing and one set of curtains in the master bedroom as well. Enough heaters to keep the home warm and well equipped for a large family.

Nice home

Enjoyed our stay at this nice home despite some surprises. Listing is dated - resort was purchased at least 3 years ago, furnishings are definitely not new (couch needs help). Two of the bedrooms are in the basement without closets or means of egress. Not a problem for us since we had a smaller group and did not need those. Needs a full, deep cleaning.

A beautiful getaway on a quiet road

John’s place is fantastic. Check-in was a breeze. The deck and outdoor areas were perfect for our large group to both socialize and spread out. We’d go hours without even hearing a car. The ample firewood for the well-shaded pit and indoor gas fireplace were lovely. Lots of beautiful sunlight from the nearly floor to ceiling windows. WiFi was consistent and adequate for the ultra rural setting. The individual air conditioning units allowed each couple to choose their sleeping temperature and the units cooled the spaces well. The basement ping pong table was fun. John’s communications was immediate and on point. The only thing my group found to require a little coordination is the fact that there are only two toilets. It required a bit of patience on occasion, but would not have been s concern with s smaller group. We will certainly return the next time we want a mountain getaway.

Peaceful

We needed a place to stay for a long weekend due to a family event. The location was close to everything we needed. The house was comfortable with plenty of sleeping space. We really enjoyed hiking around the area. The peace and quiet was nice. John was easy to communicate with and always quick to respond.

Great BK getaway location

If you want a great place to stay that is 5 minutes from the slopes, a minute from the clubhouse, and offers fun right outside the door, this is the place a Blue Knob resort.

My girlfriend and I just purchased this home together as a great weekend getaway and an investment. We had such great luck renting a beach house in DE that we wanted to do the same but up in the Mountains.

Why they chose this property

Blue Knob has it all. Skiing, Mt. biking, hiking and ATVing. No other place I know of has all that. The house was in great shape and did not need any work.
