About this property
Harmonious Hideaway, by Veeve
Tucked down a tranquil cul-de-sac in the artistic north London neighbourhood of Kentish Town, a subtle air of countrified charm abounds as you approach this enchanting three-bedroom home. Surrounded by verdant trees and potted plants, the pastoral scene instantly reminds you of your proximity to leafy Parliament Hill, home to some of the finest views across the London skyline...
That enlivening mood is adroitly maintained as you step inside a downstairs living area that instantly captivates with its calming aesthetic. The clean lines of the kitchen, decorative dried flowers, wood floors and a log burner all combine to bring a frisson of farmhouse-style living to this homely space. A charming dining table takes centre stage here, although eating in may not be top of your priorities with the street food paradise of Camden Market lying within easy reach. Adjoining this area, a sage green sofa snugly nestled under the stairwell brings an infusion of colour amid the minimalist aesthetic.
Under an arched ceiling, the reposeful principal suite retains the harmonious mood with its whitewashed walls and plush linens, while a hardwood desk and antique mirror imbue the room with a refined charm. An angelic skylight floods the adjoining en-suite bathroom with natural light. Contemporary in style with patterned floors and a white brick tile effect, it offers a sizeable walk-in shower and toilet.
Adorned with playful nautical wallpaper, toys, and a bookshelf, the children’s bedroom offers a cosy single bed and a cot mattress. Graceful with its white woods, the versatile third bedroom can be used as a discreet home office by day, with a Murphy bed offering additional sleeping space by night. Emerald tiles bring a touch of gloss to the main family bathroom, where you can enjoy an indulgent soak in a lavish roll-top bath.
Passionate about music? You’ll find plenty of hidden gems lying in wait, with a small but perfectly curated vinyl collection and vintage record player available for your listening pleasure, plus a large collection of books and memorabilia to spark your nostalgia.
A captivating courtyard garden brings a final flourish to this enthralling family home. Here, the quaint seating area is a mindful spot to plan your next north London adventure, perhaps starting with a woodland walk up to Hampstead Heath and the stately surrounds of Kenwood House. That’s if you can resist the lure to stay in for a somnolent mid-afternoon siesta on the hammock...

Why they chose this property
Most famous for its live music scene, you’ll see crowds of people queuing up outside The Forum (Kentish Town’s biggest and most popular venue) come the weekend, ready to see the next big thing live. On rare occasions, avid fans will camp overnight. Once a slightly neglected down part of North London but now more like Camden’s more sophisticated older sister, Kentish Town enjoys a busy night and vibrant nightlife, whilst being protected from the crowds of its more famous neighbour.
