With a village pub and beautiful walks from the doorstep it’s the perfect retreat.
The living room with traditional beams and cosy log burner lends itself to relaxing nights in, Velux windows make it a lovely bright and airy room in the summer months. Two steps down from the living room take you into the well-equipped kitchen and dining space. Also on the ground floor are a double and twin bedroom and family shower room with walk in shower. Stairs reach up from the living room to the first floor master bedroom with luxurious kingsize bed and en-suite bathroom with a fabulous roll top bath.
Outside enjoy a decked area with rattan garden furniture, perfect to return to after a day exploring the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. Close to the Yorkshire Dales but ideally positioned off the main routes of the A66 Pennine Way and the A1 Scotch Corner, guests will find themselves within easy driving distance of many popular attractions and locations. The historic and picturesque market town of Barnard Castle can be easily reached within a short drive and offers guests the opportunity to explore the popular Bowes Museum, Barnard Castle, and Raby Castle, as well as the weekly farmer’s market and quaint high street. The Georgian market town of Richmond is just five miles away and once again is a great location for guests wanting to visit the impressive historic castle, Georgian theatre, marketplace and also indulge in one of the many traditional tea shops and bakeries there. The cathedral city of Durham is only a 30-minute drive away and offers guests the opportunity to explore this World Heritage Site.
A little further afield but still within an hour’s drive are Catterick Races, Masham, Harrogate, Ripon, Thirsk, and York.
