A cozy cottage located in the heart of Grasmere. Comfortable, warm and plenty of space. A few teething issues with the heating system and showers draining but nothing to stop us coming back! Thank you!
Very clean, had a really good stay. The shower could have had a proper door on it to stop water coming out of shower! Overall wonderful property would stay again!
The location is great. The property is not really suitable for young children or the elderly. As every door is a Fire Door on very strong springs...I know they probably had to but really needs to be mentioned before you book. Unfortunately the cooker is still unusable due to the symbols being worn off....meaning we had to eat out every night. Please be aware you will need to take everything with you ie, there was 1 bin bag ,1 dishwater tablet, no tea bags, salt/pepper etc all empty! Sorry for the moan but we stay in a lot of cottages and a few extra touches would make it soo much better! As its not a cheap property.

Lovely cottage in fabulous location
We had a great stay in this gorgeous cottage which is in an ideal location. Would benefit from a good clean and some TLC downstairs and in the outside patio areas.

Great terraced house in the heart of Grasmere!
Overall this is a good place to stay. Right in the heart of Grasmere, which itself is in the heart of the Lake District. It's easy to nip out to the local supermarket, newsagent or pharmacy and there are lots of cafes, pubs and restaurants around and about. Walks-a-plenty in every direction! We weren't sure about the parking arrangements; good with two dedicated off-street spaces. There were 6 of us staying in the 3 double/twin en-suite bedrooms; a fantastic set-up when you return from a long walk and all want hot water at once! The downstairs space, I would say, is not quite as homely as the bedrooms; quite spartan, with no artwork on the walls, books on shelves, or similar. The kitchen is fine, though a larger fridge would have been better for 6 of us. When you book this property you're told where to pick up the key locally, but it was only one key between 6. (We were told we should have gone back for another on return, but why not issue another automatically?) The provision of wood and kindling for one fire, was a solitary log! The information file was tired and tatty. And there is over-emphasis on them trying to cross-sell their food at various locations. Time for the management to step up the TLC for people staying! Nevertheless, it's a great and comfortable base for a week away.

Great location but accommodation is shabby now.
Positioned well but it’s a 3 star accommodation at best. Generally not clean with the oven being filthy. Floors and walls need a good scrub and a maintenance person is needed for a few days. The “recently refurbished” discription needs to be removed and the photos updated. We expected a lot
More for our money due to the images and discription. We hire properties 4 times a year at Grasmere and sadly this is the worse we have encountered. On a positive, great great location and has parking.

Lovely cottage in a great location
Great cottage very high standard, unfortunate that the sofa is very tired and a dirty oven. Bedrooms and bathrooms a very high standard. Location could not be better.
