Welcome to "Evans' Heaven" cabin! A beautiful lakefront mountain home- 5 bedrooms, 2 bath, 2 story house in the gated Lake Almanor Country Club (LACC). A perfect home for your family and friends to experience a peaceful, relaxing get away. Here you will enjoy crystal clear waters, spectacular sunsets, and the amazing mountain scenery that Lake Almanor has to offer from our private dock (May-Oct) or large deck. Gather around the propane fire pit for great conversation. A propane BBQ is on the side deck for grilling use.
The main level of the house has a spacious Great Room, wood burning fireplace & Smart TV. Make your favorite meals in the fully equipped kitchen and gather around the large dining table. There is a bedroom with a queen bed, a bedroom with full size bed & bunk bed, and full bathroom. The Game Room has a sleeper sofa with double doors for use as an additional bedroom.
The upstairs has a private Master Bedroom with a queen bed, full bathroom, & washer/dryer. The Grandkid Room has a full-size bed. The loft area has a full-size sleeper sofa (best for one adult or child). There is a Pack 'n Play portable crib & highchair for the littlest member of your family.
The house does not have air conditioning but stays cool with ceiling fans, tower fans, Mother Nature, and the wonderful lake breeze.
We are located within the gates of the beautiful Lake Almanor Country Club (LACC). The area offers a lovely private golf course, driving range, and putting green. Take long walks through the quiet neighborhood where you will see the many deer who call the LACC home. There are two recreational areas (Rec#1 & Rec#2) with boat ramps, beaches, playgrounds, tennis courts, pickleball courts, bocce ball courts, basketball courts, picnic grounds and amphitheater with a weekly Summer Concert Series scheduled there. Your family & friends will find lots to do when not on the water! Rec #2 is very close to our property so launching your watercraft is a snap.
Besides the LACC Golf Course there are 2 Golf courses close by-Bailey Creek, and Almanor West. The charming town of Chester is only minutes away with restaurants, shops and seasonal activities.
A buoy and private dock situated in deep water is yours for use during your stay. Also, a Tandem Kayak is available for our renters to use- several life jackets are provided but it is best to bring your own to assure proper sizing.
We are looking for those who want to enjoy a beautiful, peaceful setting with family and friends. Wonderful memories await you at "Evans' Heaven"! Book your stay with us today!

Lake Almanor Gem

This lovely property checks all the boxes for a large family gathering. With tons of square footage, a well appointed kitchen and a huge deck with a firepit table, it is a rare find. We could not have been happier with this impressive house and the beautiful views of the lake and sunsets. Thanks to the gracious hosts.

Great place to stay

We had an amazing trip to Lake Almanor for Labor Day. We have been staying with friends for years since our kids were little and now they are older and bringing extras so we needed a second house to fit all of us. This house did not disappoint. The house was clean and had everything you could possibly need. The view from the deck was awesome and the boat dock was very convenient.Thank you for renting to us!

Life at the Lake

This property is large, well maintained and perfectly located for a large family group, reconnecting and enjoying all that Lake Almanor has to offer: swimming, sailing, boating, racket sports, golf, biking, walking, fishing. We did it all. The hosts were only a text away and responsive to our questions and concerns. And the view from the deck is spectacular.

Simply Amazing

Our stay here was perfect. The house and location are amazing. The views are stunning and the amount of activities nearby are awesome. Our kids, 4 & 6 had an absolute blast. The house has a kids play room where they spent most of their inside time. Outside we would hang on the deck enjoying the view or go down to the dock and fish/swim or go to the beach (Rec1 was our favorite). Honestly don’t have one bad thing to say, we’re already planning our trip back next summer!

Dads getaway

Nice big well stocked home with a beautiful view, lake access and private dock. We spent the weekend fishing and paddling around the lake, catching some afternoon games, bbqing steaks, and telling tall tales on the big deck at the end of the day. Jerry and Connie were great hosts and easy to work with.

Beautiful Lake Almanor

We had an awesome time while at Lake Almanor! The house was just beautiful inside and out with a view that you can’t stop looking at. Very accommodating for our boat as the boat launch was just minutes away and the safety of being in the country club. Really liked all the “little “ extras like the foil, Saran Wrap , multiple coffee pots and etc in the kitchen. We will be making Lake Almanor a yearly destination!

great stay, great hosts!

Connie and Gerry have a wonderful house and were very good at communication and very nice hosts. I'd say the only negative aspects to the house are the 180 some steps down to the dock but we solved that pretty easily by having one or two people take the boat over to the ramp and everybody else drive over there with the coolers and folks going out on the boat. We were hoping for some nicer mattresses but after all it is a vacation cabin and all in all we had a wonderful time!

Home Away from Home

We had the most wonderful stay at Evan's Heaven! It was the perfect mix of new and old giving it that homey cabin feel. The hosts make it so comfortable with all the amenities. They are also very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Our kids had a blast jumping in and swimming off the dock, and there was a buoy for our boat. The deck was also a favorite with a beautiful lake view and firepit. It is a long way up a flight of stairs from the dock to the house which is great if you are looking for some exercise...not so great if you have bad knees. We can't wait to stay here again.

Exceptional property!

This was our third time staying at Evans Heaven and have already made reservations for next year’s stay. It’s a beautiful home well appointed with a phenomenal view from the deck of the lake. The grandkids loved walking out to the private dock in the morning and fishing off the side and then spending the rest of the day on paddleboard’s, kayak and floats. The water was warm and perfect for swimming. Game room has any board game you can imagine and also many other things for indoor or outdoor fun. Great location, property, wildlife viewing and fantastic owners! Thank you Connie and Jerry

Did not want to leave!

This place was absolutely amazing. Wow. The owners were wonderful and very easy to talk to. The house was perfect for our 2 families that included kids ranging from babies to 7 yr olds. The high chair and pack n play were super helpful. We are already dreaming about a return trip!

Golf Trip

Stayed at property with four guys who went to school together 50 years ago. Our primary purpose was to play golf at Bailey Creek Golf Course, Lake Almanor Country Club and Lake Almanor West golf courses. Also rented a patio boat one morning to tour the Lake from the water. Because of time of year (water temp 68 degrees) we did not use the floating dock nor go swimming. Beautiful view of the Lake from the deck of the house. The home is well appointed with everything needed. There are 2 bedrooms suitable for adults and a den with a fold out couch downstairs and one bathroom downstairs. There is a master bedroom with bath upstairs as well as a child's room with a small bed not suitable for an adult. There is also a very large television downstairs with Roku streaming. Bring your sign in information and passwords to access HBO, Prime Video, etc. The home is very well maintained and was spotlessly clean upon our arrival.

Perfect

Beautiful house. Sat and watched the lake every morning with my coffee. My granddaughters (10,8,3 years) we excited to see all the games and toys. Used BBQ and fire pit for roasting marshmallows. Exciting mountain weather. Sun,rain hail,thunder, lightning and earthquake. We enjoyed it all.

Beautiful, relaxing home

We rented this home for our annual girls’ trip and it is now one of our favorite VRBOs. The home is beautiful, and the view is beautiful. All the furniture was clean, high quality and really comfortable and the home was well stocked with everything we needed . We had a great time. We did have one issue that came up, but the owners were very communicative and helpful. Five stars!

Cozy Little Slice of Heaven

This home was absolutely amazing and the views were stunning! We had the best time celebrating the New Year! Home was well equipped with almost everything you could think of and extremely clean! Connie and Jerry were so easy to communicate with and made the whole trip so much less stressful. We will definitely be booking this home again for future trips! A cozy Thanksgiving holiday at Evans Heaven!

Our family spent the Thanksgiving holiday at the Evans home and our trip was spectacular. The house felt like a home away from home - it was decorated for the holidays and every detail was thought of. Our family of 9 was extremely comfortable - with plenty of space to sleep and hang out after returning from our cold walks and fishing adventures. We hope to stay again. Lakefront Fun in Snow!

Amazing! This place was incredible! Looking out at lake was so relaxing! There were so many games and toys for every age. We had our six grandchildren and there were games for every age. The only rule we had was to put one away before starting next game. The home has wood walls, impeccable clean, Perfect for everyone. We enjoyed the sledding, snow angels and hiking. We want to come back to enjoy the kayaks and other water toys!

Great cabin with deck and private dock. Family friendly, fun toy room! Master is spacious and decor is fun throughout! Upper level gets warm, no AC. Enjoyed this cabin so much!!

Wonderful lakefront cabin our family loved!

Our family had the best vacation at the Evan’s Heaven cabin!! We come to Almanor every year from Paradise to celebrate the kids being out of school for summer. The owners were simple to communicate with and have a well-stocked, beautiful home! The view was stellar!! It was our first time staying in a waterfront cabin and now it will be hard to go back. My boys (10 & 12) fished off the dock and loved using the kayak. They also had a wonderful time exploring on the property and collecting rocks. We love cooking and sharing meals and the kitchen had everything we needed, including plenty of entertaining dishes & wine glasses. :) The game room was stocked with tons of games, cards, darts & even a CD/boombox radio which my boys had a ton of fun with (it’s the little things). We took family bike rides around the community and it is beautiful. The fire table is perfect for making memories and s’mores. The cabin itself is full of cute decor and made us feel so welcome and at home. We used both Rec Area 1 and Rec area 2 for beach days and brought our stand up paddle boards. We would absolutely stay here again!!

We purchased this home in 2000 (remodeled in 2008) as a family get away. With 5 children and a busy schedule it has been a relaxing retreat for us all. Many wonderful family memories have been created here. We are now passing on our love for this home with our precious grandchildren. Being right on the lake can't be beat! You have access anytime to boat, swim, fish or just relax on our dock. Early morning coffee on the deck is so peaceful. After a fun time on the water enjoy dinner together overlooking beautiful Lake Almanor and then take in the sunset and starry night sky to end your day. There are so many activities that the Lake Almanor Country Club provides our guests. The LACC golf course is a beautiful 9 hole course. Rec #1 has tennis, basketball, pickleball, and bocce ball courts, a beach, fire pits and weekly summertime concerts at the band shell! Enjoy walking or bike riding around the Peninsula or on the many trails in nearby Lassen Volcanic National Park.

Our lakefront home gives you a perfect vantage point to enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Almanor!! During the summer months you will be able to spend many hours on the private dock with buoy. Fish for Trout, Salmon, and Smallmouth Bass in the morning and boat or kayak on the beautiful Lake Almanor water in the afternoon.
