We thoroughly enjoyed Maison Linol. The views from the house were superb. The house was very comfortable, clean and contained everything we needed for our week. The local cat adopted us which we fed and enjoyed looking after during our stay. We would love to return in the future. .

Beautiful Spot
The Linol House was absolutely lovely and charming. We had a little trouble finding our way but once we did, we fell in love. Everything about the property was just right for our family of four. We walked into Beynac along an off-road trail and visited the castle featured in the movie Ever After. We went to market days in surrounding villages and floated the Dordogne River. Had the best strawberries of our lives and couldn't get enough duck confit. So delicious and fresh from the market! Highly recommend this property and hope to return someday when it's really hot to take advantage of the wonderful pool. Writing this review is making me wish I was there now. Sigh!

Beautiful maison linol
The property is comfortably furnished in a serene and picturesque location. The sight of hot air balloons drifting by in the mornings was an absolute delight. Although the temperatures soared, reaching nearly 40 degrees on some days, the bedroom fans proved invaluable, though they couldn't rescue the habitability of the 3rd-floor bedroom. To beat the heat, our daughter opted to sleep on the comfortable sofa in the cooler living area. One of the highlights of our stay was definitely the kayaking experience. One suggestion would be the inclusion of a house manual or informational notes even in French. We couldn't locate the playground or tennis courts, although it's unlikely we would have utilised them given the scorching weather. We would love to return.

Une vraie semaine à la campagne
Bon accueil.

Tranquil and scenic, walk to Beynac
We had an amazing stay in late June. Weoved walking through the forest.to Beynac to explore and eat wonderful food. Our kids (10 and 7) enjoyed the pool and animals and scenery. The house is on the rustic side and kitchen small but very comfortable and we all slept great. Would certainly go back.

Peaceful countryside retreat, 15min walk into town
Great 2 week stay at Maison Linol. Location is ideal with stunning views down the forested valley (complete with hot air balloons at dusk) and a 15-20min picturesque downhill walk into Beynac (although difficult with a pushchair!). There are other rental properties a few hundred metres either side so generally very peaceful countryside existence. Donkeys, goats, chickens and hidden playground in the forest all kept our 2 year old son very amused as did the compact but heated and clean pool. Interior was very well equipped compared with other rental properties and well maintained/clean although wifi is slower than 3G (nice if want to switch off!). No air con but we weren't too hot in low-mid 30C weather with the thick stone walls and fans in bedrooms. Owners very responsive to any issues during stay (even had a faulty dishwasher replaced the next day). Would definitely recommend and hope to return in the future!

A secluded house with a beautiful view
We very much liked the quietness of the location. The view from the terrace is amazing. The house is on the hillside of a secluded side valley of the Dordogne, while being in walking distance of Beynac and easy driving distance of the many sights in the area. We appreciated having the swimming pool to cool off. The bedrooms are relatively small and furnishings are on the basic side, but they are very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. We would be glad to return in future and have no hesitation in recommending the property.

Fantastic house, a relaxing place with wonderful views
This house exceeded our expectations! A holiday here gave us a place to relax, away from the crowds within easy reach of the beautiful Dordogne river for canoeing and cycling. We explored many places for sight seeing within a short distance by car. Our children aged 17 and 9 loved the pool, we had a very hot week so we needed it to cool off! We would spend evenings outside having dinner, watching the hot air balloons take off, listening to the crickets and gazing at the stars well into the evening. We had the perfect holiday with lovely memories. We have already recommended this property to friends!

A lovely house in a beautiful setting
The children loved the donkeys and the goats. We had fun playing tennis and basketball on the excellent tennis court. Plenty to do nearby- caves, castles and gardens. A lovely swimming pool to relax by and gorgeous views from the house.

Perfect choice for touring or relaxing
My husband, son and two grandchildren, ages 10 and 14, enjoyed Linol House for a week, but wished it had been longer. The house is precisely as presented in the photos: Picturesque and rustic, but very clean and comfortable and thoroughly up to date--though satellite wifi is limited. There is plenty of space for loungers, readers, baskers, and nappers. It perches high on the western side of the hill below Beynac Castle with a broad view across fields and forests and the Dordogne Valley. The weather was in the 100s, which was rare and unwelcome, but the hillside location meant constant breezes, and the ancient stone walls retained night time cool. Our approach was to shutter the house while we visited Sarlat, Domme, Les Ezies de Tayac, Beynac and Castelnaud castles, and farmers markets during the late morning and afternoon and immerse ourselves gratefully in the pool later and into the evening until dinner on the lovely terrace, when we opened up the house. The donkeys are very cute and entertaining, though the first heehaw is a riveting experience. The roads to the farms and the hamlet of Cazenac are lightly traveled and fine for walking or biking.

Beautiful location
Fabulously located , short walk to Beynac. We swam in the river every day and canoed. The area is littered with castles and wonderful places to visit. The house is comfortable and well equipt . Our only issue was that the pool was a little too small for our large family. Excellent communication - would definitely recommend.

Lovely, tranquil, close to major sites
The house was immaculate and well equipped. It is isolated and you need a car. The pool was great for the one day it was sunny and warm. It is best for a family since the third bedroom is up two flights of stairs, but we managed as couples. I would go there again for a longer vacation.

Awesome!
We are a family of four with two teenage daughters from New Zealand. This house is lovely, it was more than we were hoping for. The views are spectacular, the area is beautiful and the house had lovely feel about it. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it anyday.

Breathtaking
The house is set in its own grounds overlooking fields of hay. It is peaceful and very pretty as is the entire region. The interior of the house is beautifully renovated but they kept the rustic charm. Lots of room inside and out for all of us in our party to have our own space. The donkeys and baby goats nearby were a nice added extra. Finally the pool is very nice. My only reservation is I don't want to write such a good review because I want to keep the place for myself!

A beautiful house with a fantastic view.
The house was great; beautifully redone, lovely terrace and pool, outstanding views and in a lovely area. It was clean and had all that we needed..We would recommend it to anyone and we will be back. Our time was spent lazing around but we did Canoe the Vezere, visited the gardens at Marqueysac (do the cliff walk), went to see the Tour de France penultimate stage, visited Domme (by car and bike), La Roque Gageac and went round the Chateau at Beynac. We would recommend the Pizzaria 'La Fourniere' in St Cyprien.

EXCELLENT CHOIX
