About this property

Traditionally Restored Stone Gite By Beynac With A Heated Panoramic Pool

Peaceful haven nestled in the lush greenery of the Black Perigord close to Beynac, the Milou House is ideal for family holidays. We finished carefully restoring it in 2013, and it now offers all the comforts of a modern home while retaining the charm of old stones.

On the ground floor, the lounge by the fireplace is great for relaxing. Beside, the kitchen with old Perigord wooden table opens onto the terrace. In the shade of the lime, it is the ideal place to peacefully enjoy the surrounding green fields.

On the first floor, two large rooms can accommodate 5 guests. We equipped bathroom with double sinks and a large shower. Each floor has separate toilet.

On a large deck height, the heated and sunny swimming-pool of 12m by 6 is where you will enjoy the warm afternoon. Our guests can swim or rest while enjoying the splendid panoramic view of the hills, fields and forests. Lined with teak, we put at your disposal large sunbathing and a pergola. The pool is shared with the Tour de Milou and Grange Milou, also available for rent for 4 people. The common areas are distinct, however, two acquainted families could enjoy renting the houses together. The swimming pool is shared with the Tour Milou and the Maison Milou.

A footpath leads you directly to the village of Beynac, just 1km away. You can stroll through the steep streets of the village, go up to the castle and admire the view over the valley of the five castles, enjoy the culinary traditions of Perigord in a restaurant, or just do your shopping at the grocery, the butcher or the bakery.

We do accept animals for an extra of 50€/animal.

Annonce trompeuse.

Lovely location, helpful owners, but a few things could have been better.
Lovely location and property. Very helpful owners. Washing machine didn't work (but the owner did some washing for us), there was some gardening work going on but not a real inconvenience. Wi-finis sporadic at best. But, very clean, comfortable beds, great oven and BBQ. Would recommend as a place to base yourself for a relaxing break.

Wonderful Place
The house is located in a quiet and peaceful place, rustic outside and very well remodeled inside, being totally new, modern and very well equipped. Impeccably clean. Really a very nice house. Aurore was very kind and nice, being at our disposal if we would need anything. We had a really wonderful time. Beynac et Cazenac is a small village pretty near. We visited Beynac Castle and Castlenaud Castle, few minutes away by car. We visited the historic caves nearby, Font-de-Gaume and Lascaux with prehistoric polychrome cave paintings and engravings. We´d also been to Bordeaux (about 2 hs drive), Saint Emilion and the wineries and all that. Nice food and drink. Not to mention Rocamadour and Sarlat. Wonderful. So, we could mix staying at home, cooking, reading, walking in the fields and enjoying the wonderful house, with tourism visiting cities, castles, historic and unique places. Really really nice . I highly recommend this house.

Calm, Charming and Authentic
We stayed at Maison Milou to celebrate last new year eve, too bad the pool wasn't available at this time of year. The house was well heated and confortable, ideal for a family stay. Every accommodation is one point and the overall design is well thought. The sight and feeling of calmness was ideal for us Parisians. The region and neighboring villages are authentic and a real testimony to France culture and history. Don't hesitate go to roaming in the countryside and to dare the sentry paths leading to dungeons and castles. Would definitely come back.

Beautiful spot, lovely house
This house is in a beautiful location and has been meticulously renovated. Everything about our stay was delightful. All the activities of the Dordogne are within an easy drive, and you'll be delighted to come home to this cozy retreat for the evening.

I've been coming for holidays in Dordogne ever since I was born, since my family has been living in Beynac for more then a century.

I love this region and would like all our guests to enjoy it as much as I do.
