Newly renovated and modernised 5 bedroomed seaside Victorian house. Sleeps 10-12
Welcome to The Crow’s Nest. A newly renovated and modernised throughout Victorian house that comfortably sleeps 10 and is only a stones throw from Felixstowe beach and all the amenities. An ideal location all year round for the whole family to enjoy.
The ground floor comprises a grand entrance hall with cloakroom off and a huge open plan lounge and dining area with a 55 inch smart tv and comfy sofa’s and chairs for all the family to relax. Leading from the dining room down a small staircase you will find a spacious well equipped kitchen with a huge centre island with bar stools and a further table and chairs for a more informal dining experience. Large by-fold doors lead out from the kitchen to the terrace area with further seating and a fire pit for the chillier evenings. This property ticks many boxes if you’re looking for a large entertainment space and could easily accommodate 2 to 3 families for those all important get together a. With it’s 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. It can sleep 10 comfortably but on request I can arrange for up to 12 guests to stay with the use of 2 trundle beds (only suitable for children).
THE SPACE:
GROUND FLOOR
You're welcomed into a grand Victorian hall with tiled flooring through to the downstairs cloakroom.
The living room and dining area is to the left of the hallway, with steps down to the kitchen /diner and utility at the back.
THE HEAD (Cloakroom)
Just at the end of the hallway is the downstairs cloakroom with floating toilet, sink cabinet and mirror.
THE SALOON (LIVING ROOM)
A generous room with a beautiful bay window, high ceilings and impressive chandelier. It comfortably fits 2 large sofa’s plus 2 arm chairs and a foot stall. The wooden floors compliment the contemporary deco. Theres a 55 inch smart tv and sound bar for your entertainment and a large coffee table /chest in the centre that opens up to house lots of board games and puzzles which you’re welcome to enjoy during your stay.
DINING AREA
For a more formal dining experience at the back end of the lounge is a lovely dining area with a large circular table and 6 chairs ( you can fit more round if you need to).
THE GALLEY (KITCHEN)
Take a few steps down from the dining area and you’ll be in the very large and well equipped kitchen with double Smeg range cooker and all the kids and cons you’d expect. This is a great place for family and friends to congregate with a huge island with bar stools and by-fold doors that open up into the garden encouraging indoor/outdoor living..
The dining area has a handsome farmhouse style table with bench seating on one side and six dining chairs so can comfortably seat 10 people.
The kitchen has plenty of units and cupboard space and appliances comprising a Smeg range cooker, dishwasher, 2 fridge / freezers, a toaster, a kettle and a pod coffee machine.
UTILITY ROOM /LAUNDRY CUPBOARD
Very handy when you come in from the beach as there's a washing machine, dryer plus the ironing board, iron, clothes horse, broom, mop and bucket. There's also lots of cleaning materials under the sink!
FIRST FLOOR
Stairs with stair carpet and handrail rise to the split landing leading to:

At the back of the house with a comfortable memory foam quality mattress double bed with a beautiful wrought iron bed frame. 2 bedside drawers a wardrobe with hanging and a dressing table with mirror.
FAMILY BATHROOM
A beautiful marbled room with 2 windows for lots of natural light. The bath is free standing with a shower over it and there's a WC, wash basin in vanity unit and a towel rail with towels for all guests provided.
STAFF CAPTAIN’S CABIN (BEDROOM 2)
Up a couple of steps and you’ll come to bedroom 2. A beautifully decorated room with good proportions. It’s quietly at the back overlooking the garden. The four poster double size bed takes pride of place between bedside drawers and there's ample storage in a beautiful matching wardrobe with hangers and a dressing table with mirror. There’s an armchair nestled in the alcove next to the Victorian fireplace and the high ceilings and beautiful chandelier give this room a real sense of grandeur.
CAPTAIN’S CABIN (MASTER BEDROOM AND EN-SUITE)
To the front of the property is the master suite! A lovely large light room with french doors leading to a balcony with a table and chairs and beautiful sea views.
A velvet padded king bed with a scrumptious soft Tempazzmemory foam mattress and with the 50 inch wall mounted tv you’ll never want to get out of bed! There's a wardrobe with hanging space and drawers, bedside units, a small sofa and a dressing table with mirror. Higher ceilings and a beautiful chandelier finish the room off nicely.
EN-SUITE
A very large en-suite decorated in a modern /traditional style with a walk in double shower , vanity unit with mirror and towel rail. Floating toilet. Shaving points.
2ND FLOOR

DECK CADET’S ROOM (BEDROOM 4)
To the front of the property this beach themed twin bedroom has 2 full-size comfy single beds with 2 further small single pull-out beds for extra guests if required (to be pre-arranged when booking). Large window overlooking the front of the property with side sea view. Bedside cabinet with mirror above. Wardrobe with full length mirror and a chest of drawers.
DECK OFFICER’S ROOM (BEDROOM 5)
At the back of the house and decorated with the children in mind in a beach theme with a gorgeous camper-van bunk bed housing 2 full size single beds. Chest of drawers with mirror, a small child’s wardrobe and a comfy armchair. This room is a great escape for the children to play leaving the adults to relax and have some quiet time.
SHOWER ROOM
Very modern. Large double walk in shower, floating toilet and sink unit. Mirror.
PROMENADE DECK (OUTSIDE)
The courtyard style garden is fully enclosed and accessed from the kitchen through by-fold doors. There is a back gate leading to an alleyway where the bins are kept. Theres a built in seating area which can convert to a fire pit for the more chilly nights. There’s a pretty garden shed full of toys and games for the beach and a wellie store which could come in handy after those long beach walks.
PET POLICY: Please contact me before confirming your booking if you wish to bring pets with you. I have strict rules and there is a charge per pet per stay.
SMOKING: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the property. You are permitted to smoke in the garden only.
