Located in one of the best newish neighborhoods, the home is secure behind a gate with parking. Overall, our experience was excellent and our host has communicated that furniture upgrades have been ordered which will keep the unit fresh.
Great location, quiet, secure, all amenities within walking distance (lots of restaurant options and local grocery). The acccomodation itself was cozy, clean, welcoming. Host very responsive and keeps a great home! Would highly recommend (and stay again!)
We enjoyed the couple of days we stayed here. Rebecca had everything you need to have a comfortable stay.
Her place is in a nice area with a lot of restaurants available.
Great spot for everything needed to visit rekyjavik
Beautiful, simple, place with a great view of the city. Easy to
get out for visits around the country and walkable to good restaurants, supermarket, coffee and shopping. would definitely stay here again.
We loved everything about the London Bridge Cottage! The location was perfect and very safe. We wanted somewhere a little out of the busiest parts so we could wander and explore locally without crowds - but also close enough that it was easy to get to central London. Transportation access in the area was excellent - many buses to choose from just steps from the cottage, plus trains, tube and boats an easy walk away.
Four of us stayed (two couples - one being the parents) stayed in this home. It was clean, we felt safe in the area, and the owner was responsive and great at communicating. Here are some tips about getting around in this area as we used almost every form of transportation available!Rental Car - we rented a car and drove from Heathrow because we were traveling to the Devon area. Once we arrived at the house we left the car until we were checked out. If you don't need a car - we highly recommend not getting one since it took us 40 minutes to drive 4 miles in London!Black Taxi - what a delight! We took the taxi home from a night at the orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall. There was SO much room in the taxi. There were four of us, but it could fit 6. The cost was 40 pounds.Walking - there is a grocery store (Sainsbury's) one block away. There are multiple restaurants within 5 minutes. We walked to the Borough Market which had plenty prepared foods or food you could bring home to make some lovely meals and that was about 20 minutes. We also walked to the Tower of London which took about 25 minutes.Tube and buses:There is a bus stop right down the block. One night we took the tube from Piccadilly Circus where we saw a musical to the Elephant and Castle station when we jumped on the number 1 bus that brought us steps away from the house. To get to the theater we walked about 20 minutes to another bus stop that let us off a couple of blocks from the theater.
I brought my niece to London to celebrate her high school graduation and our original flat canceled last minute, so I was thrilled to find the Lovely London Casita on such short notice, and it was absolutely perfect for us. A small but very functional and pretty space on a quiet street behind a big iron fence made us feel very safe. Rebecca was a very communicative host and Lurain was very friendly while checking us in. If you are traveling solo or with only another, especially if you're women, this place is perfect!
My sister in law and I stayed for 2 weeks. We always felt safe and the cottage began to feel like home. We had to learn how to get around but if you are willing to ride buses (which are easily available) you can access all areas of London from the top of those wonderful double deckers. There are amazing restaurants a couple blocks away, local cleaners, grocery, pharmacy and most any services you need. The flat is as represented online and very cute. The staircase is a bit challenging for 70 year olds but it pays to be careful. Rebecca is accessible and responsive to any needs. We had a good stay. We suggest more written guidance to be helpful to guests including maps and recommendations to be left in the house.
The host was AMAZING to work with! Great communication and let us know about what to see and do. Very helpful and quick to respond! Parking in London is NOT easy, so having parking on site was great! It was a lovely home. Grocery store was just down the street. Bus stop close by. We walked up to the Tower of London and had tea overlooking the Thames. What an amazing experience!
Fabulous, comfortable house in an extremely cool area. Lots of towels, slippers, toiletries and a good comfy bed. Very well-equipped.
Surprisingly quiet for such a central location - an easy walk to London Bridge station (over and underground), Tower Bridge, Uberboats, Borough Market - to be honest, we could have spent a week just in this one location.
Felt safe - especially important for women travellers.
What elevated this rental though was the communication with Rebecca - she went above and beyond to ensure we were settled in, even ordering us fans when the weather got sticky.
Definitely recommend.
The property is located behind a gated entrance which gave us a sense of security. My sister and I stayed for 4 nights and never felt uncomfortable walking around the neighborhood to restaurants, markets or pubs. The location is a short walk to public transportation.
Rebecca was extremely responsive and checked in with us at the start, duration and end of our trip.
Our only issue was in the guest room/office on a very bright, cloudless night with the overhead skylight not having a blind to block out the light. My sister was exhausted from the travel and wanted to go to sleep much earlier than usual. Luckily she had a sleep mask which solved the problem for the most part.
A consideration for those with mobility issues is the spiral staircase up to the main bedroom. It was not an issue for us however. The upstairs bathroom is spacious with excellent natural lighting provided by the skylight.
Lastly, the washing machine was great for doing a load of laundry but there is no dryer and, with London weather, it’s difficult to leave clothes on the line. There is a drying rack but you have to allow for an extra day with the humidity for your clothes to dry. We planned for that and it wasn’t an issue.
Overall, it was an enjoyable visit and we would definitely stay there again given the chance. We enjoyed our visit to London and our stay in Rebecca’s lovely cottage.
Lovely, comfortable cottage. Very comfortable. Host Rebecca was very responsive. It’s about a 15 min walk to an underground stop but there were several close bus stations. Easy walk to Tower Bridge, Tower of London, Bemondsy beer mile breweries. Took about 40 min to get most other places in London by public transport. Convenient Sainsbury minutes away.

Why they chose this property
I love this area - it's so central yet quite peaceful. I love Bermondsey street for all the nice restaurants and atmosphere and you can easily walk up to Tower Bridge and the Shard and go for a walk along the river. Along the river there is always something going on.
Message me for any tips.
What makes this property unique
Visitors love my property. The rooms are spacious and light but it's cosy at the same time. It's also nice to have a garden and parking space. The spiral staircase gives the house a real wow factor.
