The view was amazing. The well manicured backyard overlooking the ocean was memorizing. From the time I walked in and saw the cabin like feel with a modern kitchen, I knew I’d picked exactly what I wanted for our family. Old and new mixed together. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. Air conditioning was not needed due to the way the winds would come through the house and you could use fans if needed. The air on the edge of the ocean would cool the house. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, did I mention the view?
We have stayed at this property for many years each summer and find it to be perfectly located, comfortably furnished, well-supplied kitchen (dishes and utensils, but few staples) and amazing view and garden. Books aplenty and binoculars to watch the sea and avian life. Comfortable bed and nice linens and towels. The only thing missing was bins for recycling. Washington has a stellar recycling program but we couldn't participate and had to throw out paper and plastic and glass.
We loved the house: comfortable and cozy for me and my two adult children. I grew up just up the street and so it was wonderful to return. The location of this house is excellent with a beautiful view of the water, and a private path leading down to the beach.
We have been travelling from California since 2017 to stay yearly at this house. It is ideal in every way: well-equipped, beautiful furniture, plenty of kitchenware for cooking, and the deck with the million dollar views. The beds are comfortable, the linens top notch. It's a wonderful neighborhood for walking, and close to Birch Bay and nearby hiking.
We've stayed here in late July/early August for several years. It is one of our favorite places on the planet! The house is wonderfully equipped with everything you could need. The kitchen is excellent for preparing meals. The deck is so enticing that it's often difficult to leave the property and go for a hike or dinner out. It is truly our Happy Place. Thanks to Connie for thinking of everything that will make for a perfect stay.
Loved staying here!! I have to say, the kitchen at this place is first rate! It is stocked with literally EVERYTHING you could need - to include kitchen appliances as well. Very impressive. Connie has supplied more than we expected - the towels, games, toys, amazing fire pit table and deck furniture.
I will say, it wasn’t super water accessible as the other and stairs to get down to the water were quite steep and are NOT great for small children or anyone needing handicap accessible. However, it wasn’t a huge issue for us as we spent most of our time doing day activities or at the house.
Highly recommend!
The outdoor living is terrific: great view, great looking garden and pots, nice outdoor furniture. Kitchen is well outfitted, including pantry items. Quiet and relaxing. Good neighborhood for walking. Home is well stocked with books, TVs, binoculars, games, etc.
We had a wonderful stay and really didn’t want to leave! The house was perfect for us and even though a second bathroom would have been preferred, the set up worked well since the shower area can be closed off with a curtain. We enjoyed sitting outside on the deck, grilling and enjoying the fabulous sunset! Highly recommend!
We were at the house during a historic heatwave (~100deg outside!) but stayed cool by soaking in the bay. Although the house had no air conditioning, the breeze from the cool water kept the house comfortable. The house was clean and as described. The kids (ages 4 and 7) had a blast exploring sea creatures at low tide and playing with the various games at the house.
This is a great cozy cabin overlooking the bay. We had a wonderful quiet weekend relaxing. Connie is great to work with. We had a dusting of snow the last morning after 2 days of sunshine and beach walks.

Charming house with spectacular views, fun fireplace table, BBQ, wireless speaker nice life jackets and paddleboards, bicycles, very clean and ample towels, bedding and just about everything you need for a comfortable stay. The grandkids already want to return! Thank you for sharing your home.
This is our third stay at this Birch Bay beachfront house. We love it here so much that it's painful to leave! Everything you could need is provided, and this year, most considerately, there were plenty of cleaning products as well as small sizes of hand sanitizer to carry with us, and a package of masks. So thoughtful .
Never even turned on the tv, just sat on the deck till very late, every night, watching the sky darken. The bouquet of fresh flowers is always so sweet, and the flowers in pots in the backyard are spectacular. Thanks to you, Connie, for making an otherwise dreary summer into something special.
Had a wonderful stay over a long 4th of July weekend. The house was very clean and set up nicely for guests. The house is small, but the space is used very well so our family of four never felt cramped. Great kitchen for cooking and the heaters on the back deck were perfect for staying warm while watching the sunsets.
What an amazing place! The house is in the most ideal location, sitting on a bluff overlooking the most beautiful bay. Sunsets spent on the patio and lawn were our absolute favorite. Birch Bay is a nostalgic place for me and to introduce the area to my family in such a positive way, made me extremely grateful. I had tears driving away, as our stay was just that wonderful. The home has everything you need and more! We can’t wait to return for a longer stay next year.
Our family had a blast. Plenty of sleeping room and loved the beach access. The house had everything we could ever need and more! Definitely felt like home away from home :)
Comfortable home with amazing views in a perfect location. Many nice details of decor and kitchen equipment. Couldn't have been happier! Our second time here, hopefully not our last. Loved all the binoculars to watch the birds.
One note - the sliding glass door to the deck didn't function properly all the time. The locking mechanism could slip down so that the door locked itself when it was closed. This only happened once, but as we were outside, there was a bit of panic that we couldn't get back in as the front door was also locked. Luckily we had opened a window and were able to crawl through that. Making sure the door doesn't inadvertently lock would be important!
We had a splendid time spending time with family and seeing and visiting places close to our family. We Had not been to the area in about 10 years. The cottage was perfect and very peaceful.

Charming ocean front beachhouse
Our family was blown away be the most adorable and equipped beach house that we have ever stayed at. We loved the sunset views and cooking in the remodeled, gorgeous kitchen. I loved having the master on the main floor and all the kids had a spot in the upstairs sleeping loft. The outside deck and access to the beach was so nice. We are already planning our next visit. We adored everything about our stay.

The property ,location and view is very beautiful
The overall staying at the house was good,we found the house too small for 8 adults, it should be advertised for 6 adults or a family,we still enjoyed staying at the house

Fabulous!
What a wonderful house for a relaxing vacation getaway! The views alone made it spectacular. The house itself was perfectly equipped with every convenience provided. The location couldn't have been better, for jaunts into Bellingham or Vancouver, as well as walks around the neighborhood and down to the shore. The only things missing were maps of the area with hiking trails in and around the vicinity, and a bird book for identifying the many avians that made their way to and fro. A hot tub would have been nice, too! All in all, we had a fantastic time here and hope to return.
