Newly built in 2022, this contemporary barn-style property offers a unique experience in a tranquil location. Its prime spot overlooks a beautifully landscaped lake and an expansive 30 acres of open countryside adorned with majestic mature trees and frequented by a wide array of wildlife like kingfishers, osprey, otters and families of ducks, making this a nature lovers’ paradise.
As you step inside, you’ll be greeted by a stylish interior designed to cater to your every need. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped with an elegant island and a convenient breakfast bar making this a superb social space. When its time to relax, the living room is front facing and bi-folding doors open out to the patio and terrace overlooking the lake where you can spend hours sitting watching the visiting wildlife on the water. Heading upstairs, the double bedroom treats you to a sumptuous experience with a chaise, Smart TV and dressing area, and the bed is perfectly positioned to gaze out across the lake. The en-suite bathroom is a haven with a large walk-in rainfall shower, ensuring you’ll be refreshed and rejuvenated for the day ahead. The second bedroom is equally inviting, featuring a double bed and a Smart TV, complete with its own en-suite that boasts a luxurious slipper-style bath and handheld shower.
For the outdoor enthusiast, there is a network of walking and cycling routes passing close by including connections to the famous coast-to-coast route and the Northern Saints Trail, The Way of Light. The village of Lanchester is an easy ½ mile walk and has all the amenities you need, including grocery store, butchers, bakers, coffee shops and a good assortment of restaurants and take aways. Ideas for days out are plentiful, including Durham’s cathedral city with plenty to see and do including a theatre, choice of cinemas, leisure centre and many historic attractions, including Durham Castle and Durham Cathedral.
