This idyllic getaway is set amongst glorious countryside on the Devon/Cornwall border. Sleeping four guests, the luxurious holiday home makes the perfect base for couples and small families. You’ll be just 6.5 miles from the seaside town of Bude, where you’ll find family-friendly beaches and stunning coast paths. Alternatively, journey deep into Dartmoor National Park to explore jaw-dropping beauty spots such as Lydford Gorge (24.5 miles). The loft-style barn conversion has an upside layout, to make the most of the far-reaching rural views. The decor is contemporary, with vibrant colours in the soft furnishings and accessories. Beautiful exposed beams and stonework add character and style. The two bedrooms and a family bathroom are situated on the lower floor, with a staircase leading to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This is a delightful space in which to unwind, with a magnificent vaulted ceiling, a warming wood burner, and countryside views. Come together for memorable mealtimes around the stylish dining table, before sinking into the sofa for a movie night in front of the Smart TV. Outside, enjoy al fresco entertaining on the sunny terrace whilst the children play on the enclosed lawn. Guests are welcome to use the shared lawns, which have a trampoline and football goals, and can also collect eggs from the resident hens. The ancient market town of Holsworthy is 5 miles away and is a great place to pick up local produce for your dinner, thanks to its independent shops and popular pannier market. You’ll find plenty to see and do in the traditional coastal resort of Bude. With several sandy beaches, and an impressive tidal pool, it’s the perfect place for a traditional buckets and spades-type day at the seaside. The town also boasts a picturesque canal and dramatic coast paths, as well as many cafes and restaurants.
