About this property

Sweetpea Cottage - a cottage that sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms

This beautiful cottage is filled with quirky and interesting design features and is tucked away in a sweet hidden spot on the edge of Nutbourne village. The sitting room is open into the dining area, with a table to seat four guests to enjoy what culinary delights you have whipped up in the kitchen. The hosts have also provided a washing machine and iron and ironing board. There is also a ground floor WC.

Upstairs on the first floor there are two beautiful double bedrooms with high quality beds and bedding for a comfortable nights sleep. The shared bathroom has a shower over the bath.

Outside the garden is very pretty and secluded, immediately outside the bifold doors there is decking with a covered seating area.

Nutbourne is set on the Hampshire Sussex border at the foot of the Southdowns National Park and within moments of the stunning Bosham Harbour. Within walking distance you can be on the water at Cobnor, stopping for a drink or a meal at the fabulous Old House at Home. The cottage is also within walking distance of the train station at Nutbourne and the bus service to Portsmouth and Chichester is on the doorstep.

A fabulous day out for all the family is The Historic Dockyard in Portsmouth which is next door to Gunwharf Quays for with outlet shopping, cinema and bowling. Another great place to visit is The Weald and Downland Open Air Museum, home tbb BBC's The Repair Shop. For something different why not book a seal watching trip from Hayling Island or hire kayaks from the marina at Emsworth. There is so much to do you will never find the time in a week!

A great holiday home - highly recommend it

A superb holiday home. Beautifully clean and stocked with replenishables. Airy, homely and comfortable for 2 adults. Great location for accessing the south coast beaches and harbours as well as Chichester and the South Downs. The owners have done themselves proud with how they furnish and present the property. Only minor downside is traffic noise as the property is right on the A259.

Perfect base for exploring

We regularly holiday in the area but this was our first visit to Sweetpea Cottage. The hosts had thought of everything to ensure a comfortable stay. We particularly appreciated secure private parking and relaxing in the garden. The beds were comfy and all the cottage was well equipped. The downstairs loo was a bonus but not advertised. Would definitely recommend and return. The property is on a busy main road but we are city dwellers so this wasn't a detrimental factor. The hosts were more than helpful and the customer experience with Henry Adams great as usual. Very accessible to explore West Sussex and Hampshire.
