There are also restaurants and taverns where you can taste Cretan nutrition, which is the Mediterranean diet's base, and has been recognized as the ideal diet for maintaining a healthy and long health and life.

Last but not least, beach bars and shops of every kind can be found as well. In Kato Stalos and Agia Marina, nightlife activities are extremely famous during the summer months. The central road has very good transportation, with frequent bus routes that can transport you in Chania or most of the beaches, in an inexpensive way. By the summer months there are also available bus routes by the night.
