The property is well taken care of and had everything we needed. It’s peaceful but close to everything we wanted to do and explore. This was our second time staying here and will definitely be back again. Owners are great!
The house was amazing! Right in the heart of the black hills, just a short drive to Deadwood where so much action and shopping is! The house is perfect for a family and absolutely beautiful and very peaceful
Mom and 4 kids' first time to Mt Rushmore and more..
We loved it from the first moment! So cute, was just the right amount of secluded. We made a friend (deer) and named him Steve. The place was just right for the 5 of us and we had everything we needed. Would absolutely recommmend it!!!
This was the cutest little place. Super clean and homey on the end of a street with no traffic. Deer visited daily and an awesome little pizza joint with cool owners just a two block walk away. My husband and I and another couple made this our home base while enjoying 35th anniversary shenanigans!
This rental was by far the cleanest we have ever stayed in. Our only complaint was the bed could be updated, but that was minor. We saw wildlife right out the front door and it was in the perfect location for our stay. We would definitely rent from them again!!
This property was great- nice, clean house, with all the things you need including plenty of towels, toiletries, grilling tools, and kitchen supplies. Quiet area just a little off the beaten path. It is very close to Deadwood but a bit of a drive to some of the attractions away from Deadwood. However, we enjoyed the views on each drive to other areas.
There is a grocery store within a few minutes in Lead where you can get the things you need to make your own meals.
We didn’t have much need to communicate with the property managers, but they responded quickly to our reservation request and sent a message the morning of checkin with directions for property access.
I mistakingly thought it was 3 bedrooms due to the photos, but it is only 2 with a pullout couch in the living room area.
I would also recommend that the hosts put a shade or darker curtains in the bedroom for a bit more privacy.
Otherwise, it is definitely a great place to stay and we would stay again when visiting the area.
Thank you for providing us a wonderful accommodation!
The listing does show 3 bedrooms but there are only 2 in the home. Other than that it was a beautiful home and was very clean! Location is great even got to see some wildlife!
VRBO was extremely clean! Location was perfect for us. We enjoyed dinner in Lead, went to Spearfish Canyon and Deadwood. Beds were very comfortable. We truly enjoyed the wildlife in the yard at dusk. Just beautiful! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

We were very impressed with our stay here. Super clean, the beds were comfortable. All amenities were included. Hosts were very prompt in their communication. We definitely recommend this place.
I stayed at the house with a friend to do our bucket list motorcycle rides. Almost every day we were greeted by deer when we returned. We had one issue with hot water but Alison took care of the issue very quickly. Would absolutely stay again.
Loved the quiet area. Easy to find. Woke up one morning at sat on porch to watch the deer in the neighbor's yard. House was cozy, well decorated. Thanks for opening your house for us.
Great property and location to all the Hills have to offer! The only confusion was needing to make the final payment prior to having the house opened up. I read it as I didn't make that payment until I checked in to the house. Luckily having Pizza Lab down the road, we were able to get a good dinner while waiting for it to be unlocked.
This property is centrally located to all the tourist sights. It had everything we needed and what we forgot. Ha. Very relaxing and peaceful. We sat on the porch every morning and evening and enjoyed the wildlife. The mule deer came right up next to our car and grazed. Only 2 cars drove by the entire time we were there. We felt like we were remote, but Lead was just 3 minutes away and Deadwood maybe 5. The beds are comfy and the towels were big and fluffy. We cooked breakfast every morning and had all the pots, pans and utensils needed. Definitely recommend.
We love staying here every year, nice small town just outside of Deadwood. Quiet and beautiful. The how is very comfortable and provides a cozy home away from home experience.
See you next year!!!
