Sally is a fun space- if you have never stayed in a vintage trailer you are in for a fun treat! It is comfortable and nice to be inside but- don't! Sit on the porch, cook outside, eat outside, sit around the fire- outside!

Getting to Young can be an adventure; expect to navigate a winding, dirt mountain road through the forest. Watch for deer, elk, turkeys- even bear!
This is also ranching country- open range with cattle. Occasionally there will be cowboys with their cattle dogs moving their cows along.

There is fishing at Haigler Creek (8 miles)- or drive back up to the Rim and enjoy one of the Lakes (30 miles).

Also, while nature is all around, keep in mind that we are on the edge of a small town. You will hear lawnmowers, chainsaws, barking dogs, roosters, occasional Utv's... I have 2 cows, 1 sheep, a goose and some chickens.

Wifi is free and is about 30Mbps- not guaranteed- seems to be enough because nobody complains...

The Trailer is not childproof. This space is intended for adults.

Also, if you bring a dog it is to be supervised at all times- thanks!

Dog Rules:

These rules are allowed by Air Bnb Terms of Service:

✔Please be respectful of our 2 dog limit- we don't charge a pet fee or a cleaning fee and we would like to keep it that way!

•your dog must be housebroken, non-aggressive, not destructive, and not display repeated, unprovoked barking.

✔your dog may Not be left unattended at Any time. If you leave you must take your dog with you.

✔all defecations will be cleaned up by guest. "poo bags" are in the blue ottoman. There is a small trash can on the front porch for used poo bags. Just because this is a huge space, please watch your dog and clean up poop.

✔we only allow dogs -and all Service Animals (no puppies-even in training)

✔when you book a stay you are agreeing that any damages done by your dog will be paid for by you.

✔Breaking dog rules will end your reservation with no refund.

I am available nearby if you have questions, but otherwise will respect your privacy.

The temperatures in Young are typicallydegrees cooler than Phoenix. Sometimes you can see, and hear, Cherry Creek from the porch when it is running during monsoon season and with winter snowmelt. Typically there is water in the creek 3-4 months off and on during the year. The sycamores turn golden in the fall when elk are bugling and turkeys are calling to each other.
Summertime brings warmer temperatures and the chance for more bugs... We do provide bug spray. I will remove any creature you find if you let me know! Just another reminder though- we do not refund for sightings of spiders or bugs. No refunds for sightings of any kind of wild life. Please keep this in mind if you would not be able to handle seeing a spider or bug.

Everyone around this property has a few acres- and livestock. Sometimes people will play music when they are working outside... sometimes you can hear an Atv or other road noise (sound travels even in the forest).

The lane back to the trailer is about 250 yards- it is well marked and there is plenty of parking

You will find a 24-hour gas station and two convenience stores here, but the nearest full-service grocery store is over an hour away, so it's best to bring groceries with you.
Bruzzi Vinyard, ( Open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday 12 noon to 6pm and dinner each of those nights at 6pm by reservation.) The Hitchin' Post (coffee and other treats- weekend breakfast), and a small cafe offer delicious food. Look for them online for more info.

Antler's Cafe and Bar open 4 days a week!

We are unable to issue refunds for travel delays (including road closures), illness or weather in accordance with our cancellation policy.
We encourage you to purchase travel insurance.

If there is an internet or power outage (typically 2-4 times a year) it is beyond my control. I will come over (during the day) and let you know when Aps expects to restore power. If the internet/power will be off for more than a few hours and you choose to depart early, I will refund the rest of your stay at the Trailer. No other refund or payment will be given. By booking a stay at Cherry Creek Cottages/Silver Streak Sally you are agreeing to this. Thanks for understanding.
I try Very hard to keep spiders out! So sorry if you find one! No refunds for spiders or insects!

During your stay you might see bugs, spiders and their webs, squirrels, deer, elk, cattle and other livestock, Javelina, coyotes, bear, snakes, mice, even skunks- all kinds of animals. Please do not book if this is a problem for you. We do not refund for any sightings of life's creatures.
