The space
This flat benefits from an incredible view of London in all the rooms, from Blackheath on the right to the O2 right in front, Canary Wharf and the city on the left. You can see even the Shard and the London Eye, enjoying the London scenery from a huge hospitable balcony! The view is amazing during the day and spectacular at nights. It shows the best potential when there are festivities in the city and firework shows (i.e. New Years Eve, Guy Fawkes Bonfire Night, etc.)
This is a very luminous flat due to double light exposure and being located at an angle of the building.
- The elegantly decorated living room has a sofa-bed, a TV, a dining table & chairs for 6 people. There is also a semi-professional home gym giving you the option to exercise when you need to. An ergonomic chair with ergonomic back, seat cushion and footrest will be handy for professionals who work from home.
- In the open-plan kitchen- you will find all the necessary kitchen amenities, coffee maker, toaster, kettle, pots & pans, plates & cutlery + much more. There is a Nespresso coffee machine and many other kitchen amenities and appliances
- Master bedroom - with a king-size bed, a large wardrobe with mirror doors, a clothes rail and a Smart TV
- Bathroom - with a bath, shower and a countertop basin
There will be some complimentary tea and coffee, as well as shampoo, shower gel and soap. Other items included are a washing-up pack, toilet roll and kitchen roll which will last a couple of days. If you wish to purchase more for your stay there are a number of supermarkets and shops nearby.
Parking: no free parking available in the building. The guests will need to arrange their own parking, please check websites offering parking spaces. Alternatively, the guests may ask the concierge to see if they can buy visitor parking permits.
Note: There are currently works being undertaken on the building facade, to replace the cladding. Hence, there is scaffolding outside. Most of the work is undertaken during the day and is usually not very noisy. There are no works undertaken in the evenings.
Guest access
Guests have access to the whole flat.
Other things to note
Please note, the host keeps personal belongings in the flat. These will mostly be locked away, however some items may be in the utility room.
Please treat the property and neighbors with respect, as if it were your own home.
Please note some simple rules:
- Please do not wear shoes of any type in the flat. Remove your shoes and put them under the coat rack or on your shoe storage in the bedroom (not on the floor).
- Do not wear shoes nor drink or eat in the bedroom. The carpet is white and delicate, and food and drinks are not allowed in the room. But this shouldn't be a problem, considering that it's much nicer eating and drinking enjoying the view in the dining room or on the balcony :)
- Please be mindful of the sofa. It's fabric and sponge inside, so do not drop food, drinks that could leave stains, traces and smells. In this way you can enjoy at most its comfort and cleanliness!
- Please be careful when using the bath! The flat is provided of water softener that gives many benefits to your skin and to appliances. The downside is that water is quite smooth and slippery, so please be careful when you get in and out of the bath, so to avoid falling down and hurt yourself! For that reason, I put a bathtub mat, but make sure that the suction cups are stuck to the bathtub before getting in, so that the mat is fixed and doesn't slip.
- Please be considerate of the environment and conscious of wastage, especially with regards to water, electricity, gas and plastic. Please make sure to turn off all the lights, oven, kitchen, sinks, heating when you leave the flat.
- Please make sure to separate your rubbish from compostable/non-recycling and mixed recycling.
- There is a separate small tap on the left of the kitchen sink that provides filtered water: help yourself (for drinking only) :)
- Please enjoy yourself but remember that the flat is in a block where other residents and neighbors live and work, so be mindful and try to be respectful of that, avoiding loud noises at night or early in the morning and keep both the flat and the communal spaces in the building clean as you would do with your own.
Additional rules
No shoes in the house
No pets
No smoking
No parties or loud noises
