About this property

Adirondack Camp - Lakefront - New Dock - with wifi

Enjoy magnificent views of northeastern Lake George from a traditional Adirondack camp with a large screened-in porch. Lakefront access, sandy bottom, and a brand new dock are excellent for boating, swimming, and fishing. The house has five bedrooms: one with a queen size bed, one with a double bed, one with two twin beds, and two with a single bed. It is a peaceful, quiet house which is sheltered by the mountain and tall trees, so it remains cool in the evenings.

The property is on a dead-end road, and it extends up the mountain in back of the house, across the road, down the grassy lawn to the lake. The lakefront is approximately 60 yards from the house. There is a brand new dock on the waterfront, and a sandy beach is available a short walk down the road at the Ticonderoga public beach. The lake bottom is sandy at the dock. For larger groups, consider our adjacent property (Homeaway Property Number 114133), a cottage with two bedrooms.

Although there is a fireplace, it is not working properly, and we ask that you do not use it. Instead, we have created a campfire circle near the lake.

Great stay
My family and I enjoyed our stay this past August. Great location. The dock and swimming were just what we wanted. My two daughters could easily swim at the sandy bottom right out front. Would benefit from washer dryer on premises (or even just a dryer for wet towels) but otherwise rustic and just what we wanted. Would definitely stay again! -Dan

Large, rustic getaway
Our group loved the rustic nature of the property. the exposed walls, large screened in porch, wood all over. The property was large enough to accommodate our entire group. The kitchen was well appointed. It would be nice if property owners could find more comfortable and relaxing seating areas. The cabin would also benefit from a thorough dusting and cob web cleaning, although I realize some of that is inherent in the rustic nature. All in all the cabin was spectacular and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a larger rustic rental.

Cozy cabin close to Lake George
My family (4 of us…. 3 adults, one toddler) had a lovely time . We enjoyed the sandy bottom at our dock and the beach was well within walking distance . However, we enjoyed taking our paddle board. Great dock for swimming. The cabin was cozy and the kitchen was well equipped. The owners were easy to contact .

Very nice, rustic cottage. Great view of the lake and sunsets from the screened-in porch. The yard is large and open with a fire pit and boat dock at the bottom of the hill. The dock is new and it is easy to swim off with a clean sandy bottom. Good place to enjoy northern Lake George in the summer.

The location (proximity to lake) is superb and the owner is "over the top" helpfullpful
We especially loved the screened in porch - all our meals there while starring at the lake. Living room and bedrooms are comfortable and spacious for our group of 5. Even the neighbors are friendly and there is minimum traffic on the road.

Nice Rustic Home
The house is rustic and full of character. Lots of books and games to enjoy while relaxing on the screened in porch.. Beautiful views, great dock with a really nice ladder for swimming. The walk to the lake is a bit steep but worth it. . The only downside to this property is that there is shared outdoor space with other people who also rent from this owner. We were unfortunate that the renters who stayed in the other house while we were there were very rude and set up tents around the fire pit that we were supposed to share with them. Then they hung up a hammock that blocked our direct walk to our dock. The little gazebo was not to be shared but they were using that as well, even after being told by the owner that it was not part of their rental. I would hope other renters are more courteous when using shared space. I would definitely come back to this lakeside retreat. The views, the dock, the porch, and the character of the house is very nice! The owner is extremely helpful and answered all of our questions in a timely manner.

great Adirondack camp
We had a great time at this cabin. It is rustic as advertised but the kitchen and downstairs bathroom were updated and had everything we needed. A big plus was having the wide expanse of lawn down to the lake that was wonderful for playing games and we really made use of wonderful fire pit on the chilly evenings. The dock seemed fairly new and we could sit there and look out over the beautiful clear water, jump in or walk out on the sandy bottom for a swim. I would recommend if you visit when the weather is chilly to bring sleeping bags or extra blankets as the cabin is not heated. The owner was extremely responsive and a pleasure to deal with. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

Family favorite
We had a wonderful week at this classic Adirondack camp. The weather didn't always cooperate for boating but the camp has a big screened porch where you can have family dinners and play board or card games. The upstairs bedroom set up was perfect for one set of grandkids- one toddler in each of the end rooms (so they wouldn't wake one another) and parents in the center. Lots of fans for all rooms but given its proximity the house always cools down at night. Big grassy area for running and playing lawn games, firepit for smores and a good dock for our boat. We rented the other cabin owned by these same people and that worked out well also. Cute little cabin for parents and two little girls. They fished near the shore off a rocky reef and caught and released over 20 fish. Very exciting! Small local beach is within walking distance and the kids had lots of fun there too. We have a big pontoon boat and went out everyday - somedays in between rain storms. A great time was had by all; Lake George is spectacular. We are already talking about going back. Owners of these properties are very communicative, flexible and quickly respond to questions. It was a pleasure doing business with them.

Wonderful cabin in such a beautiful area!
We had such a wonderful experience at this house. Communication with the owner was really easy. The house was comfortable, well equipped and clean. We did find we needed an extra pan for all our cooking but luckily was able to get one from our family coming up a little later. The screened in porch was the best room by far. Although small, we found the rooms actually a little bigger than expected with plenty of room for luggage. Easy access to the lake right across the street was wonderful as well as the big yard. We had our dog and children with us and the house was great for them. The windows were a little tricky to use and maybe one I gave up on but nothing too big of a deal. The window fans kept the house very cool and it never felt too hot in the house. We highly recommend this place and would definitely come back to it.

A great vacation!
We absolutely loved this place, it was the perfect fit for our growing family! The owners have pretty much thought of everything you could need for a housekeeping cottage, and were always very prompt and helpful whenever we had questions. The screened-in porch with its view of the lake was definitely everyone's favorite spot, but the dock and firepit area across the street saw a lot of use as well. We would definitely come back again!

Comfort by the lake
It was the perfect place to stay for our three families, and everyone had a comfortable place to sleep. The area was lovely. It was just a short stroll to the lake, and there was a beach convieniently down the road, also close enough to walk to. The area itself had many lakeside attractions, as well as places to drive to and hike. The cabin was clean, and had great places to relax where I could curl up with a good book. It was well maintained and in great condition. The owners were friendly and even brought us a fruit platter! I will definitely come back again and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice cabin by the lake!

You Can't Go Wrong on Lake George!
The listing was absolutely accurate in describing the magnificent views of northeastern Lake George. The view of Roger's Rock is breathtaking. The owners were extremely pleasant and prompt in replying to any and all questions and made the whole process quite easy. There was an unexpected change with their house cleaning service, but contacted us immediately and we were able to work out a solution. The two downstairs bedrooms were spacious with double beds and offered dressers and closets. The mattresses were a little rough. The upstairs rooms were smaller and offered twin beds - including one set of built in bunk beds. The half bath upstairs was a definite plus. There were fans in every room. The full bath downstairs offered everything you needed - with the exception of water pressure! Be patient. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans. There was a Weber charcoal grill out back and, although it needed a real good scrubbing, worked like a charm. We had to discipline ourselves to the requirements of recycling and appreciated the bins set up in the kitchen for this purpose. A very small television is located in the living room and cable service was provided. The living room setup is not really conducive to a group watching tv so I would suggest you shift your focus to the view of the lake. The front screened porch was beautiful at any time of the day - morning coffee, afternoon sandwiches or evening meals. We even enjoyed a good rain storm! There were a few drawbacks I feel compelled to remark upon. The road upon which the house is located does indeed say it is a Dead End - but it goes on for a couple of miles. The house sits right on the edge of the road and there is a considerable amount of traffic. There is only enough room to park two vehicles - there is no other space available. I appreciate the photos attempting to present the location as somewhat isolated but that is simply not the case. The lawn across the road is a fairly steep walk and you share the area with close neighbors. There is no easy entry into or out of the water from the dock area. You DO have the option of the public beach just up the road which is just lovely! There are stone steps on either side of the house which are steep and slightly uneven - and with no handrails. I raise these points because navigation would be difficult for anyone with any type of infirmity. None of us could get cell phone service - so we unwired, made ourselves comfortable and had a wonderful time!

Beautiful spot
The house was clean, comfortable & spacious. The kitchen was small but well-equipped and there were supplies to get us started. We loved having so much space and the balcony was a hit with the kids. The screened porch was perfect for eating or reading--although the Adirondack chairs on the lawn overlooking water were the best vacation reading spot. Sandy beach is great, but a ladder to get in water would have been nice, as would a dock or boat mooring. Gorgeous views topped off this great vacation rental!
