About this property

Recently built, this river-access cabin is perfect for couples or small families. Heaven's Hideaway was designed to be open and roomy while feeling warm and personal at the same time. Just look at the pictures and you'll instantly be hooked!

On the outside, there is access to the river - you can hear the water from the cabin! - with plenty of yard space for relaxing or exploring nature. There is also a beautiful roomy deck with a new, modern hot tub, a gas grill and ample sitting room. The sitting area of the deck has a gas fireplace for added warmth. Too many pests at night? There is also a large screened-in porch where you can sip wine and talk for hours.

On the inside, Heaven's Hideaway is filled end to end with warm rustic touches in every room. The full kitchen (including dishwasher) has modern appliances, an apron sink, beautiful colors and an island for added counter space. The sitting area is large and roomy. The bedrooms, the loft, the bathroom - you will love every room! Rainy day? We have a game room with bunches of board games! Sit by the picture windows with some coffee and a book.

PLEASE NOTE: There is wi-fi here, but due to the rural area, the signal is not strong or very reliable.

Please take your trash with you. There is dumpster access at the Shenandoah River Outfitters (less than a mile from the property). The house manager can take them for a tip of $5 per bag, if you would prefer.

Quick Getaway

This is a well-kept, clean and quite getaway location. It was perfect for a couple's quick escape from the daily grind. It was perfect for the two of us and presented a very welcoming and comfortable living environment. It has a great balance that makes you feel comfortable using the amenities and simply feeling at home. Relaxing and watching a sunrise/sunset from the hot tub is simply icing on the cake. April was perhaps an idea time to visit as the foliage was not fully out it provided a beautiful view of the mountains and river. Close to local attractions.

Relaxing Family Getaway

Heaven’s Hideaway was exactly what we were looking for! My family spent a few days exploring Shenandoah and the surrounding areas. Even though the weather didn’t cooperate, it was okay because we were able to spend extra time listening to the rain hit the tin roof on the back screened in porch while the kids were playing in the upstairs loft full of games and comfy chairs. We couldn’t have asked for better communication from the owners. The hot tub at night under a sky full of stars was the exclamation point. All of this was five stars…and this doesn’t even include the proximity to all of the attractions Shenandoah has to offer!

Perfect Retreat

This home is beautiful - a short walk from the river in a quiet and beautiful spot. The house is adorable, and there is so much peace in every space you look! I stayed for a writing retreat and had to drag myself away. The owner and rental manager were extremely responsive. I cannot say enough about all the little details that made my stay just fantastic. Know there is no cell signal and the WiFi power is limited. I needed to cancel a video meeting but honestly…that was kind of awesome. ;)

Great couples stay with hiking close by!

Great location close to everything that we were looking for. Location is about 15-20 minutes from the Thornton’s Gap entrance to Shenandoah National Park and Luray Caverns. Shopping areas for essentials also aren’t far from the location. The house was clean and had a well stocked kitchen with the essentials needed to cook meals. The hot tub was perfect after a long day of hiking followed by sitting by the indoor fireplace. We had no problems with the WiFi in the house but the area otherwise has spotty cell service as to be expected in the mountains. Overall we will definitely be back for another visit and look forward to staying at this location again.

Weekend get away

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin for a long weekend. It was clean, cozy and well-equipped. We loved the privacy of the outdoor areas with the porch and the hot tub & fire place areas great for relaxing. Wish we could have stayed longer!

This little cabin was absolutely perfect for me. Everything was exactly as pictured, and it was mostly quiet, though there were trucks from nearby construction going back and forth sometimes. The cabin itself is lovely, and overall, had a lovely stay. Would love to come back.

We stayed for 2 nights and had a great experience. Cabin was very cute, clean, and comfortable. Check in was easy, and everything was in working order. One of my favorite things was sitting outside drinking coffee in the morning listening to and watching all the birds. Very peaceful! Would definitely stay again!

Perfect Getaway!!!!

We absolutely loved everything about this cabin! We were celebrating both of our birthdays and Valentine's Day and we couldn't have asked for a better setting to celebrate! We spent 2 days on the Skyline Drive (easy drive from cabin!!) and a day exploring the town of Luray. Must check out Cooters if you grew up watching Duke's of Hazzard! We spent some time by the fire pit as well as in the hot tub. It was very mild for February, temps in the 60's. We walked down to the river for some water views. We wouldn't have changed a thing about our stay except to make it longer!! Thanks so much for making this a memorable getaway for us!!! The card and Valentine candy were an extra special touch!!

Lovely home in the woods. Has a nice remote feel without being too far from town to run back for a pizza or whatever. Gas fireplace was lovely on chilly nights and everything was clean and working well.

Beautiful Cabin

The location was great. Driveway was not steep like other rentals in the area. The cabin was in excellent condition and clean. Not far from food, grocery stores, or attractions but far enough to get away to the quiet. We didn't use the hot tub but we should have. The screened in porch was amazing. Sitting out at night we saw a couple of deer in the back yard. In the morning as the sun came up you could see the river from the couch. If there was one bad thing to say is for the price the toilet paper could have been at least two ply. It was the thinnest paper I've ever seen.

Perfect for an anniversary getaway!

Was the prefect get away for us as a couple looking for a quiet place away from distractions for our anniversary. The warm fire, in a cozy house, with the ideal rural setting (and the fantastic hot tub to boot!) made it a great stay. We would highly recommend to anyone.

Relaxing weekend getaway!

My husband and I went to celebrate my 40th birthday! Our favorite part was the screened in porch, that’s pretty much where we stayed the whole time, having our coffee in the morning, and wine in the evening. The cabin is even bigger than the online pictures, it’s very clean. Would definitely stay here again!

Incredible location for vacation

Beautiful piece of property... a beautiful yard within easy access of the river. Tons of birds, including hummingbirds, and rabbits to watch. The two biggest amenities for us were the split units offering cooling (very hot and humid for us northerners!) for a good nights sleep and the incredible screen porch on which we ate and read etc. Easy access to Skyline Drive and George Washington and Jefferson National Forests. Loved our time.... highly recommend Heaven's Hideaway as a place to stay!

Truly Heaven on Earth!

This cabin was exactly as described and made for the perfect weekend getaway. Enjoy coffee on the screened in deck, grill on the porch, enjoy the hot tub, and fire pit all in the coziness of the cabin and the serene nature. Quiet, clean, easy to get to but far enough removed from others. A quick walk to the river. Comfortable beds, clean, and has everything you need! Agency was very responsive to any questions or needs. Would highly recommend and look forward to staying at Heaven's Hideaway again!

The house was exactly as described. The only problem was on the last night we tried to use the hot tub and it wasn’t working. We had used it prior to this and it worked. The place is decorated beautifully! And it was very clean. It is very remote.

We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the cabin and the secluded outdoor space.

We really enjoyed our stay and the cabin was beautiful inside. Beds were comfortable and furnishings were quaint and we had everything we needed. We were able to get Wi-Fi which was a bonus. We spend a lot of time outside on the covered porch and deck which was very private, quiet and surrounded by trees. At night the stars and fireflies were amazing! We used the gas fire table and hot tub everyday. The town of Luray was close and we had easy access to stores and restaurants. It was a special get-away and we hope to come again.
