Pear Tree Lodge, Combe, nr Langport, Somerset sleeps four in two bedrooms.

Pear Tree Lodge consists of a studio layout with double bed, and open-plan living space with kitchen containing Gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dining seating for four, and a sitting area with TV and woodburning stove. There is a mezzanine twin (zip/link can be super-king-size on request) along with a shower room. Outside there is an enclosed raised balcony with furniture and non-enclosed lawn with mature trees, plus off-road parking for one car. Within 1.2 miles or less you will find a shop and a pub, and please note this is a smoke-free property. One well-behaved dog welcome. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels included in the rent. Make a magical escape to Somerset with a stay at Pear Tree Lodge. Note: First floor bedroom accessible via very steep ladder, with limited headroom, please bear this in mind when booking. Note: Step access to the exterior; unsuitable for those with limited mobility.

Town: The ancient market town of Langport lies at the heart of the Somerset levels, at the crossing point of the River Parrett, mid-way between the county town of Taunton and Yeovil. Its central location makes it a thriving hub for local villages and an ideal base to explore the surrounding area, as well as the Somerset Levels, one of England’s most unchanged Landscapes. The ancient beauty and diverse wildlife of the area makes it one of the landscapes that have inspired many artists and photographers as well as drawing visitors from all over the world. The surrounding countryside teeming with pretty villages and quiet country lanes with footpaths and cycle trails to explore the picturesque Somerset Levels. Somerset is rich in wildlife and is one of the country’s top areas for birdwatching. It also offers a heritage railway, where visitors can take a trip on longest standard gauge line in the country. This is an excellent touring base for the area, with the stunning town of Glastonbury just over ten miles away, noted for its famous music festival, it also benefits from an array of superb amenities and displays a stunning abbey, Clarkes Shopping Village at Street, Wells Cathedral, Wookey Hole and Cheddar Gorge all within an easy drive. If a day at the beach is what you're after, the seaside town of Burnham-on-Sea is easily reachable and offers a range of amenities as well as its wonderful sandy beach. Avid walkers can make the most of the nearby Mendip Hills AONB and features magnificent walking and cycling country. Travelling slightly further afield; to the south you'll find many places of interest; the beautiful fishing port of West Bay, the Jurassic Coast with Lyme Regis and the artisan town of Bridport with its markets and music venues or the historic cities of Bath and Wells.

Relaxing nature stay

The cabin genuinely feels like it’s in the middle of the forest. It’s a really calm area, and plenty of walking routes. No need to even use the car to go to the shop since you can just go through the field! The owners were lovely and very accommodating. Would definitely recommend
