The convenient facilities at Ashbourne heights are located in a small cluster of traditional brick buildings. There are plenty of picnic tables and outdoor areas to relax and enjoy the tranquil setting, or watch the younger enjoy themselves in the children’s play area. Also, field and picnic area for children’s ball games, kite flying, safe cycling and good family fun, just off the accommodation track.
Accessed directly from the park, the famous Tissington Trail has been created from the last of the Victorian railways and runs for 13 miles through some breath-taking Peak District scenery – use the trail for a safe and enjoyable walk or cycle to the market town of Ashbourne.
The popular Tissington Trail also sits at the entrance to our park, so you can get on your bike and explore this 13-mile, traffic-free trail, which follows the former Buxton-to-Ashbourne railway, with tea room and snack bars on route.
The park also offers a fantastic accommodation option for those looking for an alternative to hotels near Alton Towers Theme Park - with the park less than 25 minutes away, it's the perfect place to relax after a thrill-seeking, action-packed day.
