The house is within easy walking distance of the striking clifftops of Vale da Lapa. Within a 15 minute walk of the house there are a few restaurants, coffee shops and mini market. The popular seaside town of Carvoeiro is just a 5 minute drive. Another short 5 minute drive will take you to the more traditional but equally popular fishing town of Ferragudo. Both towns are ideal for family holidays, with many options for international restaurants, cafes and dining experiences. Enjoy a gentle stroll along The Carvoeiro Boardwalk, taking in spectacular views of the coastline. Boat trips exploring the stunning caves and grottos, leave regularly from local beaches. During the summer months (June – September), Carvoeiro square is the perfect place to sit and enjoy food and drinks, whilst live music and dancing can be enjoyed every night, from the summer stage. For the more adventurous you can choose from an abundance of watersports, tennis, hiking, golf, scuba diving, theme / water parks and so much more.

Tourist tax
Please note that on 13th April 2024 a new law was passed approving a new tourism tax (Taxa Municipal Turística de Lagoa). All guests aged 13 years and over are required to pay this tax. The amount is €2 per person per night during high season (April – October) and €1 per person per night during low season (November – March). There is a cap of 7 nights on the tax. Therefore for all reservations in excess of 7 nights, you still only pay the tax for 7.
