Charming Evergreen Hills Escape With Great Mountain Views

Quiet Evergreen Retreat from $115!!
Nestled amidst beautiful pine trees in a private Cul De Sac.
Only ½ mile to scenic Maxwell Falls and Cub Creek Trailhead, close to historic downtown Evergreen which has a variety of restaurants, breweries, shopping, and lake activities. Red Rocks and Mount Evans are within a half hours’ drive!! Uber is now available.

The Space: this is the entire lower level of a beautiful mountain chalet, about 850 square feet, with complete seclusion and private access. The suite is set up for 2 guests, but can sleep 4 comfortably with our pull out sofa bed. The spacious bedroom suite has a king size bed with a private full bathroom. The brand new kitchen is equipped with a range, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator. Also provided are a coffee maker and toaster. The sitting room has a formal dining room table as well as two sofa beds, a large 79” flat screen tv, and a beautiful gas fireplace to cozy up to after a long day in the mountains!! Private access is out of the sitting room area. We offer 200 Mbps internet speed.

    Mountains sanctuary

    Wonderful Home

    We stayed 4 nights here and our stay was very relaxing and perfect! The scenery was beautiful in Evergreen! Udo, the owner, was very helpful prior to our stay and was immediate in our communication! The home was spotless and very well maintained! The huge TV was great and the king bed was nice! We had everything needed and we thank Udo for the wonderful time spent in his home!

    Girls Getaway!

    We chose this property for a relaxing girls getaway and it was perfect. Very clean and comfortable. We loved the decor. It was like we went to Europe for the weekend. They also had a big screen tv that was wonderful when we watched movies. We have an amazing time and will definitely return.

    The Perfect Mountain Escape

    First off, the Property Owners are lovely people who made the stay even more enjoyable. The Property is nestled on the side of Forested hills, where on our first day we saw Deer walking around, and a fox passed thru the next day. The location is ideal for getting into town- Evergreen- quickly to enjoy the Lake, shops and Restaurants. Also the Trail head for Hiking Maxwell Falls is very close to the Property. The House is Cozy, beautifully decorated with plenty of room with a comfortable bed and great Shower. Staying there will be one of my fondest travel memories.

    An Evergreen Gem

    This was our 4th stay at Shadow Mountain! We will keep returning because we like everything about it....Udo and Marguerite (the welcoming hosts), the cozy fireplace, the big screen TV, the convenient location to Evergreen, hiking trails , restaurants etc.. ,the beautiful neighborhood and the great price.:) We look forward to visit #5.

    Beautiful views

    My best friend and I loved our stay in this beautiful property. The room had everything we needed, like towels, a mini fridge, dishes, and snacks. Everything was clean and nicely put. The views were amazing! This was my first time visiting Colorado, and all I can say is I'm glad it was Evergreen. We couldn't get enough of the snowy mountains. Overall I would recommend this room to anyone visiting Evergreen, Udo and Margarite were so sweet and caring! They made us feel very welcome.

    Best price and Best place in Evergreen

    My hubby and I needed a place to stay near our grandkids during Spring Break . I chose this place over others in Evergreen and we are so glad we did!! It was very nice and very reasonably priced. The King bed was so comfortable! Everything was just as pictured! It was more spacious than I expected! Super nice and comfy! Fireplace was a big plus! Beautiful views were also an added plus. The lighting was my husband’s favorite since he’s an electrician 😜 It has a warm, soothing feel at night. We will definitely stay here again.

    You pay for what you get

    Location was further than anticipated from town. Unit was cute but you could tell it was not professionally cleaned prior to arrival. Dirty laundry in hamper, broken towel holder, hair everywhere, kitchen counters not clean just to name a few things. Also the owners live upstairs and you can hear them and their dogs walking around through the ceiling, very loud. Besides the cleanliness and loudness, place was great and had a lot of potential.

    Evergreen Escape

    It was a wonderful walkout basement under the owners' house! Really beautiful, clean, and beautiful location. Just as an FYI, you could definitely hear the owners walking around and playing some soft classical music above, but you are in the basement of their home so that is to be expected :) They were not playing loud music or being very loud, it's just that the house has wood floors so we did hear their steps. However, in the bedroom we didn't hear them at all so that was good! Only in the living area. They were very obliging and gave us early checkin and late checkout, which we greatly appreciated. Everything worked great in the kitchen and bathroom - nothing was broken or not working well. The heated gas fireplace was a huge plus - we loved sitting and reading by the fire. My husband also loved the large tv :) Thanks so much, Udo and Marguerite!

    Loved the decor

    The basement apt is decorated very interesting and I enjoyed it. Many books and tv choices. There are people upstairs, obviously, but we didn't hear much as the night went on, which was lovely of them. I also liked the scent used in the area...smelled nice. It was too dark in there, even with blinds open and all the lights on., especially the kitchen/bedroom, located in the back where there are no windows. We brought food to cook and there wasn't any baking dishes/sheets for oven. Unfortunately, we encountered white tufts of dog hair, two large ants, a couple of big house flys and two spiders. As well as a glob of what appeared to be drying blood on the floor by trash receptacle in the bathroom. They just need to have it sprayed for bugs and cleaned a bit more thoroughly. Otherwise, it'd be fine for most.

    Mountain stay

    The property was just what I needed. I was in transition from corporate housing until we settled on our house in a local town. Although I didn’t stay mini nights, my extended-stay was great. The property was clean for kitchen lovely sitting area and wonderful views. Access was easy even in winter and enjoyed the drive looking at the lights during the Christmas season. I would recommend this to anyone looking to be in the mountains but close to Evergreen.

    Very spacious and clean. High end everything. Small subdivision feel, end of town. Beautiful views to the north (front of house), southern view, no so much, except for in the distance.
