Gem at the foot of the mountains
I’ve stayed at the cottage 15 times. We keep going back because it’s just the most relaxing place to go. Views are breathtaking and it’s peaceful.

Beautiful setting
The cottage worked well for our group of 5. The photo in the listing is a little deceptive, makes it look like the cottage is very remote. In reality it is adjacent to the Clachaig Inn, which was fine except for the noise on Saturday night from the live band (although it did shut down by 11:15pm)

Sadly disappointed
We stayed here 6yrs ago and it was fantastic. Unfortunately not so good this time. Apart from a new sofa and a better secure gate nothing has been done to maintain the place. The main bedroom mattress has seen better days and the bed frame is probably 1 stay away from collapsing. The bathrooms are both in desperate need of a revamp. The tired old shower cubicle and the bath are a disgrace. The oven glass door is just about hanging on and the grill inside is falling off. For the price thats charged there are alot more places that are much better quality. As i said at the start it is a shame that the property hasnt been kept in tip top condition as we had the most wonderful time 6 yrs ago and that was why we chose to return here.

Enchantment in the Highlands
Located at the foot of mountains near Glencoe, the views are both stunning and atmospheric. They create an indelible memory. For walkers there are plenty of routes that will take to a magical place.

Incredible location in Glencoe!
What a fantastic stay we had here!! Stayed here just after the new year with 4 friends and I couldn't recommend this lodge enough. The amount of space inside is incredible, the double bedrooms are huge and give you amazing views of the mountains and scenery around Glencoe. The lounge and kitchen are also very large and everything was provided in each room that you could possibly need. We were also surprised that there were 3 toilets in the lodge, it really is like a tardis! The pub next door to the lodge was so handy for when we got back from a long day in the mountains and needed some food and a pint, there was also entertainment on when we stayed which was a nice touch. Will 100% look to stay here again soon.

Fantastic surroundings
We had a brilliant time, the location is just fantastic, the neighbouring pub serves fantastic food and has a lovely atmosphere. The house has everything you need, the only critiscm I would have, that it needs another shower. Although it has a separate bath tub, but you can't shower in it. We were eight people and getting ready in the morning was a bit of a struggle. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would come again.

Heavenly setting and calm and a spacious, cosy and very welcoming home
I can hardly explain how superb the location of this house is and how we fell in love with it the moment we walked in. Although its exterior could do with some tlc and looking after, the interior is just wonderful. The house is very spacious and perfectly clean and a lot of effort was made to make us feel welcome, which was greatly appreciated, especially after we'd stayed in a place which was the opposite a few days previously. The kitchen contained everything you could possibly need and it was very kind of the owners to have left tons of basics and more, from oil, vinegar, spices, salt, pepper etc... and there was even fresh bread, milk and cookies and some ale! There are literally countless hiking, trekking and walking routes literally a minute away from the house and basically, there is not a way in which you can turn or drive where you will not be fascinated by the scenery and find hundreds of paths to trek, from easy to difficult, you choose. There are rivers and lochs everywhere and we regretted not having stayed longer in the house, as there is just so much to see and do... We were a bit worried at first that we not have any peace and quiet due to the house being close to the road and a pub, but in fact, we had perfect peace and quiet and there was never any noise or suisance from anything or anywhere. We fell in love with the house all the time we were there and it was obvious the owners had done their best to make guests feel at home and comfortable. The only minor things we would have improved would be the lighting in the kitchen, which was a bit dull and having a hair dryer! Otherwise, we absolutely loved the house, the location and our stay and wholeheartedly recommend the house to anyone travelling througth Glencoe. We know we would book it again in a second, even without the wifi! Thank you for making our stay in this house the best part of our trip through beautiful Scotland!

Clachaig cabin Glencoe
This cabin has the perfect location for exploring Glencoe. It is comfortable and well equipped and right next door to the Clachaig the pub in Glencoe. With 2 bathrooms it is perfect for a large family. The walks through the woods and by the river give brilliant views of the Glen. It is also the perfect location for walking 'Munro' s' and the Munro family included Archie aged 8 bagging his first Munro on Buchaille Etive Beag.

Wonderful NY 2019 in the Highlands
You cannot beat the location. We had a fantastic time here, hiking, listening to live music in the pub next door, driving to Oban and Fort William and Glenfinnan. We would definitely recommend staying here. We will most certainly be back. There is everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. Beds are super comfy after a long hike. Plenty of Central heating to keep us nice and warm.

Brilliant holiday
our family of 7 and 2 dogs have just returned from a fabulous holiday in Glencoe . The chalet was well equipped and cosy and in an ideal spot for the numerous walks that are close by and the views are breath taking. We will be booking again for next year

Lovely!
Loved the house and loved the location! Both were exactly what we wanted for a week with our family in the Highlands. Lots of walking trails around the house and of course plenty of beautiful scenery. The house was a perfect size for our family of 7. Something to make note of, especially since we all take it for granted, there isn't any WiFi in this house and what there is next door at the pub is very spotty. The lack of WiFi, though, turned out to be the best part, as we had our kids full attention the whole time :) Will book again for our next trip to Scotland!

Lovely place
We (7 adults from Germany and Scotland) spent a lovely Easter weekend in Glencoe. The cottage/chalet was well equipped, clean&tidy and had a living/dining room that easily accomodates 7 people. It is a great starting point for various hill walks (high and low level walks) in Glencoe and the nearby Glen Etive. We have been outdoors walking every single day of our time there. The Claichaig Inn was right at our door step - the atmosphere, beer selection and food were superb. And on occasion one can enjoy life music there. Shopping (food etc) facilities were nearby - either a local shop in Glen Coe village or further down the road a Co-op in Kinlochleven.

Fantastic
Fantastic holiday location. The cottage is extremely well kept, clean and tidy. The location is phenomenal in the heart of Glencoe with stunning views right on the doorstep. As a family of 7 seven, there is ample room and facilities for all. Ideal location for walking, sightseeing base or just a chill out holiday. The housekeeper is friendly and very helpful. Myself and my family will definitely be back next year. Would recommend it to everyone.
