Bedroom 2: Double (4ft 6in) Bed. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included. Welcome pack. Front garden with patio and garden furniture (shared with other properties on-site). Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. . Rose Cottage is situated on a working farm in the heart of the Sutherland countryside. This semi-detached, old stone cottage is beautifully presented throughout with colour co-ordinated soft furnishings and great attention to detail. This cosy, two bedroomed cottage is ideal for couples and families seeking a high level of comfort in wonderful location, close to stunning beaches and plenty of places of interest.
The small seaside town of Golspie is 1 mile north of Rose Cottage. Here there are a good selection of local shops, including a supermarket, restaurant, pubs, cafés, beach, harbour, golf course, train station with trains to the far north and south to Inverness, and a distillery. Dunrobin Castle, seat of the Dukes of Sutherland, is also in Golspie.
There are further facilities in Brora, the next seaside town along. Here you can find a superb sandy beach, championship golf course and distillery. Rose Cottage is situated in an elevated position just a few yards from the renowned North Coast 500 route, which follows the dramatic coastline up to the far north and across to the west. There are lovely walks close by, with nearby Loch Fleet Nature Reserve, Ben Bhraggie hill, and mountain bike trails and coastal trails all within easy reach. Golf, fishing, sailing, paddle boarding, kayaking and hill-walking are all local pastimes.
