Clean. Cozy. Friendly. Beautiful location.

From the moment you open the door you can tell Brenda and Phil live what they do and care about their guests' experiences. Homemade bread on the counter and cold waters in the fridge. Stocked with all your essentials for your stay. The setting while right off 72 is convenient and peaceful out back. The river is absolutely idyllic. Well kept grounds and fire pit area also. Highly recommend staying here!

Great location

Great location for a Northern Michigan getaway. Finley's Riverside Cabins are located on the Au Sable River, perfect for fly fishing and kayaking. My family couldn't be happier with our stay. Clean, good amenities, friendly owners, less than a mile from Grayling, and the best riverside fire pit for roasting marshmallows. Thanks, Phil and Brenda, until next time.

in search of snow!

We went on a last minute trip to MI in search of cross country skiing. We found this cabin was available and booked it. It was perfect for our needs. We also brought our two dogs. We prefer to cook our own meals and that was easy as all cookware was available. The owners were next door and were super helpful and friendly. it's also next door to the cross country ski shop for info on trails and supplies. It was perfect and look forward to coming back in the spring for kayaking.

Great Owners

The property is beautiful, rooms are extremely clean and they provide everything you need except for items such as tin foil, baggies, & charcoal. The owners have thought of everything when stocking the cabin. If you'd like to canoe/kayak from uprivier to this property, they will drive you to the starting location, they do have kayaks. The cabins are on M-72, very easy to find. Upon arrival, take them up on the offer to tour the property; very congenial hosts.

Lovely Property

We have been to the property twice for weekend stays. Each time, we were welcomed and made to feel at home. There are trails cut, a fire pit, and seating areas down by the river. We spent much of our time, if not out exploring the area, down by the river. The cabin was very clean and had plenty of room for two. The living room furniture was comfy for hanging out, watching tv. The only drawback to our stay was the bed. It is a double bed and not very comfortable for two people. I ended up taking the comforter to the couch and sleeping in the living room. Overall, we had a wonderful time in Grayling. It is close to many outdoor activities for every season of the year. We will be back.

Central Location in Grayling, on the river

This is a beautiful property on the river. I was staying here for work at the hospital and I needed a kitchen to stay on my diet. If you cook, bring your favorite pans. There's a sauce pan, 2 quart pan, two frying pans, pizza pan and pancake griddle. No baking sheets. There is a toaster and electric coffee pot. I stayed in Cabin B which has a double bed with a footboard so tall people like me sleep diagonally and a pull out couch. It is advertised for sleeping 4 people but they must be smaller people. This place is newly remodeled and decorated nicely and in a central location to all outdoor activities in Grayling, MI. The owners live on the property in Cabin A and are very nice and accommodating. They allow dogs and have a great system for poo pick up and disposal. My little dog loved the paths they snowblow in the woods for her during the winter. I very much enjoyed my cozy stay.

It was okay

The refrigerator was Alil nasty. The dishes in the drawer was nasty. I called to complain about the dishes she volunteer to come clean but I said no I’ll rather clean it myself . Tub was nasty and had hair in it so we washed that out. It was cat hair all over the couch. Inside the dresser had stains. I know their older host but we’re in a pandemic they need to be alot cleaner between visits. And if Brenda is going to knit blankets for each trailer put the cats up or invest in lent rollers. Overall they were nice though.

Great weekend stay

This is our second stay at Finley's. The unit is comfortable, cozy, and clean. We had everything we needed for our late season grouse hunt, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. We love the community and the surrounding area. We appreciate having a place that allows us to bring our furry family members along. Effi and Dave

Perfect Cabin on the River!

We really enjoyed our stay. The property is sitting on the Au Sable River. You won’t find easier access. Phil (property owner) was kind enough to drive our truck upstream so we could launch a winter kayaking trip. It was perfect. The cabins are really nice. Very clean, hot water, warm heat, and fully stocked with kitchen supplies. Downtown Grayling is roughly a mile away, perfect for those who want to eat at one of the restaurants or breweries, or cook meals back at the cabin. We did both. We definitely recommend this property, and certainly would love to stay here again.
