This flat is located in the Eixample area of Barcelona, one of the most emblematic areas of the city. The location is excellent, as it is close to several tourist attractions and has easy access to public transport.

The Eixample area is known for its modernist architecture, with iconic buildings such as Casa Batlló and La Pedrera, the work of the famous architect Antoni Gaudí. The area also has a rich history, being built in the 19th century to accommodate the city's growth and increasing population.

From the flat you can walk to various tourist attractions such as the Sagrada Familia, Paseo de Gracia and Rambla de Catalunya. There are also several restaurants and bars typical of the area, such as the Ciudad Condal Restaurant for tapas and Bar Tomás for its famous patatas bravas.

If you want to try local food, we recommend the Mercat de la Concepció, a local market where you'll find fresh, local produce. If you're looking for public transport, close to the flat you'll find the Diagonal metro station (L3 and L5), as well as several bus lines that will take you to any part of the city. In short, Carrer Casanova, 9 is the perfect place to enjoy the history, culture and gastronomy of Barcelona.

Cosy two bedroom flat! The first room has a double bed and a single bed, perfect for a small family or a group of friends travelling together. The second bedroom has two single beds, ideal for those who prefer to sleep separately.

The spacious living room has a cosy and modern atmosphere. Relax on the comfortable sofa and make yourself at home. If you feel like going outside, you can relax on our small balcony and enjoy the view.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare your own meals, if you wish. The washroom has all the necessary amenities such as fresh towels and personal hygiene products.

The location of the flat is excellent, with easy access to different types of public transport, such as buses and the metro, which will take you to the most popular places in the city in no time at all. In addition, you will find numerous options of typical restaurants and bars in the area to try the authentic local cuisine.

The apartment is in the Eixample district of Barcelona, with its octagonal blocks of houses and wonderful modernist buildings, but it is also next to the colorful neighborhood of Gràcia. Most of Barcelona’s sightseeing places can be reached walking from there. The apartment is located 7 mins away from Universitat (L1), near to Plaça Catalunya, Passeig de Gracia and Diagonal, and 15 minutes by subway from the beaches.

FROM THE CRUISE PORT TO THE APARTMENT
The quickest way would be by taxi. I would take about 15 minutes and should cost around €15.00 (which includes the supplement from the port) plus a little surcharge for each suitcase.

FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE APARTMENT
The journey is between 20 to 35 minutes, depending on the time of day.
You have quite a variety of transport options:

TAXI: Travelling by taxi is a convenient way to get from the airport to the city center, especially if you have a family or a lot of luggage (be aware that most fo the taxis holds only 4 passengers).
Look for the sign pointing to the nearest taxi rank. The taxis operate all night and there are several hundred of them so you don't have to worry about not being able to catch a cab.
Expect to pay around € 35.00. There will also be an additional surcharge charge for each bag you're carrying. You'll find the rates displayed inside the cab.
All official Barcelona taxis are black and yellow and are required to charge you only the value on the meter (including a supplement for travelling from or to the Airport, and also a surcharge for each suitcase).

Train RENFE: The RENFE train service runs approximately every 30 minutes to and from Barcelona airport to the city center. Travel time approximately 30 minutes. You can purchase a T10 ticket at the entrance to the train platform at Barcelona Airport (it would permit you 10 underground, train or bus trips into the city).
If travelling from the airport to the city center you can get off at Barcelona Sants. From there you can change for the Barcelona underground system to your final destination, Universitat metro stop (L1 or red line). Then you must walk 7 minutes to reach the apartment.

AEROBUS: Aerobus is the bus service that connects the Airport with the centre of Barcelona leaving every 5 minutes, every day of the year.
In approximately 35 minutes can go or return to either of the Airport Terminals (T1 or T2) comfortably and economically, without having to change stations or stops. The route covers strategic stops in the city. Single ticket: € 5, 90(all children under 4 years free ticket).
The Aerobus will then take you to Plaça de Catalunya (where the line finishes).). From there you have to reach Plaça you only have to walk a little bit till the apartment.

BIKES: Barcelona is a bike friendly city, with a good net of bike lanes. Because of our warm climate, cycling could be a good way to sightseeing and do some sport at the same time.
As to rent a bike, there are lots on offer everywhere in Barcelona. I recommend two providers which you can find on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN): you’ll find information typing "carrer del perill, 19" (very close to the apartment, good service and good price) or ”bike rental Barcelona” (delivery & pick up service, so you don’t need to waste time looking for a bike rental shop in Barcelona).
In any case, the bikes cannot be left in the lobby of the property, let alone inside the apartment.

CAR: Since Barcelona is organised in green areas (for residents) and blue areas (paying and short time parking), it is difficult to park in the street. But there are lots of parking lots in this neighborhood.

Plaça Sant Jaume/Barri Gòtic: aproximadamente 15-20 minutos en metro (L3) o en taxi, o 30-40 minutos a pie.
Colombus statue (port): aproximadamente 15-20 minutos en metro (L3) o en taxi, o 40-50 minutos a pie.
MACBA (Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona): aproximadamente 10-15 minutos en metro (L3) o en taxi, o 30-40 minutos a pie.
Plaça Espanya/MNAC (Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya): aproximadamente 10-15 minutos en metro (L3) o en taxi, o 25-30 minutos a pie.
Poble Espanyol: aproximadamente 15-20 minutos en metro (L3) o en taxi, o 40-50 minutos a pie.
Palau de la Música: aproximadamente 10-15 minutos en metro (L4) o en taxi, o 25-30 minutos a pie.

Some constructions works are being carried out near the apartment and in the apartment upstairs, it is possible that there may be noise between 8.00 and 18.00.

Please note that although the maximum capacity of the apartment is 5 people, there are only four chairs in the living room.

There is a structural problem with the shower drain and water runs out slow. Of course you can shower but just note that they can’t be long showers.

- Check in time is 3pm (can be flexible depending on the previous check-out).
- Late check in (after 9pm), is an extra 30 euros to be paid in cash upon arrival
- Check out time is 11am or earlier (can be flexible depending on the following check in).
- We have good relationships with our neighbours and would like to keep it that way, so please keep noise to a minimum, especially after 10 pm.
- Parties are not allowed.
- It is not allowed to smoke inside the apartment. In case of breaking this rule the fine will be 150€.
- The flat´s capacity is of 5 people. No additional guests allowed.
- Please take out the trash before check-out.
- Please note that an extra fee could be charged depending of the conditions you leave the apartment.
- You will be required to show your ID/Passport upon arrival. In order to follow local regulations and to be able to register all our guests on the local police’s database, we will have to scan these documents for all guests. I hope this is not an inconvenient!
- A tourist tax will need to be paid separately at check-in in cash. This charge is 5.50€ per person per night for a maximum of 7 nights. Guests up to 16 years old do not pay. We will appreciate that you bring the exact amount with you.
- Please note that for reservations from 28 days or more an extra 100 euros per month will be charged, corresponding to the costs of supplies (electricity, gas, water and internet), to be paid at check in.
- For bookings made on the same day we cannot guarantee that we will be able to welcome you in the apartment within three hours of confirmation of your reservation.
