Relaxed Margate cottage, minutes from the beach!

This three bedroom (sleeping six) cottage is cheerful, newly refurbished and will provide an ideal base for a holiday in Margate! With one large double bedroom, and two with single beds, it will cater for most family groups and has a spacious kitchen and living room. The kitchen boasts ample workspace, a five burner hob (and pepsi light!) and is fully equipped - with a table seating six or more. The living room seats seven with TV, DVD, stereo etc. A private, sunny terrace garden to the side is great for summer barbecues and also for secure storage for bicycles. The house is a (brisk) 5/8 minute walk from the Old Town and Margate beach - and is also close to the Cliftonville beaches. Buses to Ramsgate, Broadstairs and Canterbury stop close by and there are 2 (!) supermarkets within a short walk.

Well located family sized house
Enjoyed our stay at this house, well located for Margate old town, the beach and cliftonville. Good bedrooms, steep stairs down to the one in lower ground floor. Great kitchen with everything you need and more. The living room is a nice size. There's no WiFi, the mobile reception was good though.

Family Christmas in Margate
Fab kitchen, clean and well equipped, perfect for our family Christmas. Good communication from host.Beds were very comfy.Loved the courtyard - private and would be lovely for sitting out in the summer. Location is ideal, close to Northdown Road - eclectic and retro shops here. Walking distance to beach, old town plus lots of different bars and restaurants.There's no wifi in the property, which was the only negative for us.

Great summer stay
We had a lovely time at this house in Margate. Plenty of space for our family, a lovely sunny yard and in a great location for easily accessing Margate Old Town and the beach. It was really excellent value for a summer trip.

The house offered excellent value for money. It was was presentable and clean with all basic amenities covered. It's location was excellent for a quick walk into the centre of Margate. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this accomodation!

Fantastic family cottage!
This cottage was spacious and felt like ‘home’. Our family had a really comfortable stay here. We loved the kitchen...it was well equipped/stocked and finding coffee and milk on arrival was awesome! Thank you. The bedrooms were warm and cosy during the day and at night. The children loved the little room at the top of the stairs and having the outside space where they could play. Highly recommended to anyone looking to stay in Margate A+.

A very well equipped property, well maintained, clean comfortable and exactly as described
We had a great stay over New Year. The property is close to all the amenities in Margate, just a short walk to Turner Contemporary with the old town just around the corner. My daughter enjoyed all the retro & vintage shops and the grandchildren loved visiting Dreamland as did the adults! The Scenic Railway is now up and running and a must for every visitor! Excellent fish and chips from the Parade and there are number of pubs nearby all within easy walking distance. With Lidl & Morrisons close by there was no problem stocking up with supplies. The house was very wam and comfortable and we were all impressed with the very well equipped kitchen and the provision of essential food items. Being able to park near the property was appreciated especially with small children. The firework display overlooking the harbour on New Year's Eve was very impressive. Highly recommended.

Urlaub in England
Vielen lieben Dank für die schöne Unterkunft. Wir haben unseren Urlaub wie schon 2014 und 2016 in vollen Zügen genossen. Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön und sauber. Die Küche ist groß und gut ausgestattet. Ca. 150m Berg auf ist ein Aldi. Hier gibt's alles für den täglichen Bedarf. Weitere 200m hin, steht man schon am Wasser. Das einzige Problem, wie andere Gäste schon geschrieben hatten, ist das Parken. Wir hatten in den 10 Tagen kaum Möglichkeiten zu parken. Wir fanden aber in unmittelbarer Umgebung genügend Parkplätze. Es gibt auch einen bezahlbaren und videoüberwachten Parkplatz. Kostet 7 Pfund für 24 Stunden. Nur das bezahlen an den Automaten ist schwierig. Auch Engländer hatten ihre Probleme mit den Automaten. Trotzdem haben wir unseren Urlaub in vollen Zügen genießen dürfen und bedanken uns bei dem Vermieter.

Ruime vakantiewoning, mooie slaapkamers. Als enig negatief punt vonden we de toiletten die zich beide op de eerste verdieping bevonden waardoor je altijd naar boven moet. Positief punt was dat de tuin helemaal is afgesloten waardoor de hond vrij kan rondlopen.

August soul festival holiday
Booking in communication great, cottage local to supermarket NEAR old town and sea front, actual area a bit run down but much quieter than expected. Although the cottage was lovely and had a good feeling great there is a dishwasher and washing machine it certainly needs a spring clean but turned a blind eye for the week . Enjoyed time there plenty big enough for 5/6 people could do with another sun bed only 1 between 5 of us but on the whole enjoyed holiday

Urlaub Mittendrin.
Das Haus ist von außen sehr gepflegt und sauber. Das Platzangebot ist großzügig und für sechs Personen mehr als ausreichend. Die Innenausstattung ist modern und technisch in Ordnung. Grundsätzlich ist alles vorhanden, was man für einen Urlaub benötigt. Der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter hat reibungslos funktioniert und war sehr freundlich. Leider ist gibt es aber auch einige Dinge, die nicht so schön sind. Besonders muss hier leider die Küche erwähnt werden. Der Gesamteindruck war sehr klebrig! Das Innere der Schränke und der Schubladen wurde lange nicht mehr gereinigt! Die gesamten Oberflächen der Küche waren unsauber. Die Töpfe wurden scheinbar immer nur von innen gereinigt, die Pfannen waren nicht zu benutzen, da die Beschichtungen sehr stark beschädigt waren und der Wasserkocher war von innen komplett weiß. Beim Abziehen der Bettwäsche kam die völlig verschließende, zerrissene und stark fleckige Matratze zum Vorschein. Die Überwurfdecken der beiden Sofas im Wohnzimmer waren siffig und hatten Gebrauchsspuren von den Vormietern. Auch muss die Lage des Hauses erwähnt werden. Das Haus liegt mitten in einem schlechteren Wohnviertel von Margate. Die Parkmöglichkeiten sind schlecht. Als Familienurlaubsort ist dieser Stadtteil überhaupt nicht geeignet. Party People würde sich hingegen freuen. Das Viertel ist scheinbar sehr hip und an der Promenade ist einiges los. Wir haben dort nur eine Nacht verbracht und haben uns im nahe gelegenen Deal für die restliche Zeit ein anderes Haus angemietet.

Comfortable stay in Margate
We had a great time staying here for a weekend in Margate. It was a clean, comfortable and cosy place to come back to after spending the day at a festival at Dreamland. Everything was within walking distance and communications were easy.

Short family seaside break
Fantastically well appointed, home from home. Host has catered for every eventuality. Located close to the beachfront and town with its myriad of entertainment and dining options. Also affords a good base for touring further afield in Kent. The only downside for us was the lack of nearby parking upon arrival. We would heartily recommend and hope to return in the near future.
