Beaumaris
On the waterfront at the Victorian town of Beaumaris, on the Isle of Anglesey. Many excellent restaurants, pubs, ice cream parlour, tea shops, high quality shops on your doorstep but you can step home to the tranquillity of Chimney Corner with its breathtaking views of the Snowdonia mountain range.
Chimney Corner has a wealth of space for large groups of family or friends. We can comfortably accommodate up to 16 guests in our spacious 8 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. There are also multiple common areas where people can relax or socialize, such as a conservatory for reading, an upstairs TV room with games for children, a hot tub, expansive sofas in the lounge next to the log burner, a sauna and even a pool table.
The property has a garden where you can enjoy the stunning scenery and wildlife. Dolphins can even occasionally be spotted from the hot tub. For those who enjoy cooking and hosting, the kitchen is fully equipped with a large range cooker, an American-style refrigerator, and plenty of dishware and utensils to serve meals at the large 16-seat dining table. There is also a smaller 10-seat dining table that can be useful for casual morning meals. Outside, there is a barbecue and ample outdoor seating with picturesque views across the waters.
Whatever activities you have planned during your visit to Beaumaris, Chimney Corner provides abundant space to accommodate them. There is storage for walking gear, a washer/dryer, and drying racks.
Chimney Corner is a Grade II listed landmark that was originally built in 1829. The chimney on the property was once used to heat seawater for the local spa. The house has served various purposes over time, including as a gentlemen’s club, a YWCA, and a private residence. It is located within the conservation area of Beaumaris in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The views from Chimney Corner are stunning. Guests frequently comment on the mesmerizing views, describing them as “to die for,” fantastic, amazing, breathtaking, and incredible. The panorama of the Snowdonia mountains changes with the light throughout the day and seasons. Being inside the 200-year-old Chimney Corner during winter provides a feeling of shelter while looking out at the snow-capped peaks. In summer, you can enjoy the peaceful surroundings while reading a book, having a glass of wine at sunset, watching the sun set over the Great Orme in Llandudno, and seeing the occasional sailboat pass by.
