Romance Awaits at The Barn: A Quintessential Cotswolds Retreat for Couples

Summary:
This stunning couples retreat is a detached barn in the gorgeous, picturesque Cotswolds hamlet of Cerney Wick, in the heart of Cotswolds Water Park. It is the idyllic romantic get-away and only a few minutes walk away from lakes and the river Churn. A beautiful combination of original and contemporary features create a luxury self catering space in the grounds of Manor Farm House. Centrally located near Cirencester, it is 15 minutes away from Jc15 of M4 & 20 minutes away from Jc11a of M5.

The Space:
The Barn is a detached building in the grounds of Manor Farm House, a traditional Cotswold stone house. You have allocated parking on our shared, gated driveway.
The Barn is warm and cosy. Fluffy towels and complimentary luxury toiletries are supplied.
The kitchen is fully equipped with central island seating and has coffee and tea making facilities, including a Nespresso machine.
Your home is totally self contained allowing privacy for your stay. There is a gorgeous south facing outdoor seating area for you to enjoy - next to the croquet lawn which you are most welcome to have a go at!! Or you could just sit on the bench and enjoy a sun downer watching village life go by.

Guest Access:
You have personal access to The Barn. It is self-contained in the grounds of Manor Farm House. We do have two basic bikes available, or you can hire within 5 mins of the house, and we are within cycling/walking distance of pubs, cafes and restaurants.

The perfect place
Was there for RIAT. Perfect location for any of the ways to get to the airshow but just out of the way enough to be peaceful. The village itself had a lovely restaurant but close enough to others around the water park. The accommodation itself was exceptional. Everything you needed even down to the tea, coffee and milk on arrival. Cleanliness was to a high level with all necessary bedding and towels provided. Overall, a wonderful, but brief stay and highly recommended

This is a very well equipped apartment above a barn in Cerney Wick. We stayed a couple of nights to attend a wedding and found the apartment to be immaculately clean, with all amenities we would need. It is larger than it looks in the pictures and the bedroom is a fully separate room, with an en suite. It is within easy reach of the Cotswolds Water Park, where we went for some meals and the pub in the village (The Crown) has a great Indian restaurant. Would highly recommend this place for a relaxing long weekend. It is well suited for couples looking to explore the local area.

Wonderful stay at The Barn
Lovely peaceful Barn in a very convenient but quiet location. Everything you could wish for. Very warm greeting by the host, we cheekily arrived 20 mins early due to a downpour and it was no trouble. Highly recommend.

The Barn
We have a brilliant long weekend away at The Barn. It was exactly what we needed. The Barn was extremely comfortable, clean and very dog friendly. The location was great too, in a small village but easily accessible to local towns and villages for day trips. Lots of nice countryside for walks too. I’d highly recommend The Barn for a lovely stay in the Cotswolds and we can’t wait to come back!

Dog friendly stay at The Barn
We stayed at The Barn for a couple of nights at the end of October. It was brilliant. The Barn is lovely! Really well decorated and nice and cosy as the weather is getting colder. Everything you need is there including lots of information on things to do locally. We did a couple of walks and went to the pub (Eliot Arms) in South Cerney.

The perfect spot for a break
We had a lovely weekend - the Barn was a cozy and very comfortable base from which to explore. The hosts provided lots of info on the local area and we made good use of the walk book. Perfect place

We are Barry and Jo and we have an amazing collection of Cotswold holiday lodges on Cotswold Water Park near the old Roman town of Cirencester with most of them dog friendly.
We’ve been coming to this beautiful area for many years and about 5 years ago we decided to make the move permanent. We set up our company in 2018, starting with our own holiday home on Windrush lake but as you can see from our portfolio now, we have grown quite considerably! We love to travel and just before the “you know what pandemic” we spent 12 months travelling around the world ending up in New Zealand for Christmas and New Year and then working our way up to Hawaii and North, Central and South America. We think we know what it takes to get a place right for our fantastic guests but we are always learning!

We couldn’t do this without our fantastic team which is growing year by year. Unlike many of the larger companies selling holiday lets we, and our team, know all of our properties intimately because we provide the full service from cleaning and hosting through to managing the hot tubs, the plants on the decking and even window cleaning! Jo, Adele and Meg are the last ones to visit your holiday lodge just before you get there to make sure the place is perfect for your stay – you may even bump into one of them on your way in!

Why they chose this property

Whether your preference is for high-octane mechanised water sport, the more gentle and sedate wind or oar-powered sports or maybe experience the fantastic walks and cycle rides the area has to offer. Or maybe you just want to spend the time relaxing in and around the lodge and hot tub. Cotswold Water Park Retreats is the place from which to base yourself.
The Cotswolds is a great place to visit – it combines chocolate box charm with attractive Cotswold stone properties. It really does have something for everyone – see our Local Area page and ‘like’ our Facebook page for more ideas of places to visit and things to do plus special offers
