Casa do Forno takes its name from the restored tile kiln that now houses the living room, and the curious traveller will still find a number of traditional kilns still in use in the Almargem valley near Santa Rita. Many historic features have been preserved, such as the old troughs that have been converted into washbasins in the bathroom, and the old dovecote shelters built into the solid stone walls. The house has a private patio adjoining the double bedroom.
