Great location and very comfortable apartment
For a first visit to Provence, the location is great. St Remy was a great base for our week stay in Provence. Its a 2 min walk to town center. Being able to walk to dinner, Wednesday market and great shops made our stay even more special. The beds and linens were comfortable and parking in the beautiful compound was a bonus. We also loved having drinks and meals in the private terrace.

Wonderful location
As others have commented, the townhouse is spacious and comfortable. We loved being in St. Remy and walked into town at least once a day for a meal or groceries. During the day we drove to hill towns, Avignon, Arles, Cassis, Chateauneuf du Pape and more. All were easy distaces from St. Remy. We would happily stay here again.

A Memorable Saint Remy Holiday
We really enjoyed our stay in Saint-Remy-de -Provence The Villa is comfortable and ideally situated for access to the town centre. Margaret, the owner, was charming and always available to answer questions and resolve queries by WhatsApp. What would have made a big difference for us would have been to have had an agent in situ to orientate us regarding the Villa and the town. We were late arriving but the following morning would have been most helpful. Nonetheless, a great location and a happy stay.

Schönes Haus in perfekter Lage

Paradise in Provence
Location location, absolutely perfect. The villa was lovely and fully equipped, if you choose to cook. They welcomed us with a chilled bottle of Rose and water in the fridge! What we could not control was the heat wave...100 degrees Fahrenheit!!! the fan helped but it, was hot. We understand this was very unusual and affected much of Europe. Overall, we loved our villa and hope to return in the future!!!

Week with my sister in Provence
This was a perfect property for visiting St. Remy & traveling to towns in Provence. The home was in a delightful enclave with the original large house nearby. The walk to town was two blocks & the neighborhood excellent.A parking spot was on the property. The house was very well equipped; everything was new & nicely done - the bathroom, towel warmer, shower; the kitchen also was very modern & well equipped. 2 bedrooms on the second floor were very comfortable. The house was decorated in a very pleasing combination of whites & neutrals. I would definitely recommend a stay here & would be delighted to return.

Charming Townhouse in a Beautiful Setting
This charming townhouse is a part of a group of townhouses around an old Chateau just outside the center of St-Remy-de-Provence. The grounds are a beautiful garden setting with wisteria, cypress, oleander, lavender, rosemary and many other plants with a central octagonal fountain. It is a few minutes walk into the center of St-Remy. It was so nice to park the car in the gated parking lot after a day of touring the countryside and walk into this beautiful village for dinner at one of the many wonderful restaurants. The kitchen was well-equipped if you wanted to stay in and cook a meal. There is a well-stocked SPAR market in the village and a larger Intermarche grocery store a few minutes drive just outside the village center. The owner, Margaret, was always available by phone or text if you had any questions and was very prompt about responding. We had a wonderful stay in this property and highly recommend it. St-Remy-de-Provence was the perfect location for touring Provence and there is much to do and see in this lovely village.

Hard to imagine a more perfect week
Margaret, thank you for your care that you take of the apartment and all of your guests. It shows— in the pre-arrival texts and concern, in the bottle of wine and water left for us, in the personal greeting and help as we first arrived. The apartment itself is charming - perfect for the two of us, extra spacious, well appointed, nice dishes, bedding, beds. Great water pressure, nice kitchen— and lots of nice touches everywhere. The setting is just lovely and the location in the town is so convenient. St Remy is a great town, easy to fall in love with and your apartment made us feel at home.

Charming & quiet
If we travel to Provence again, we would love to come back to la Villa Nova. It was quiet with a beautiful courtyard and yet only 5 minute walk to Old Town. We have travelled all over Europe, stayed in many different kinds of accommodations. This house was bright and airy. Everything was well-maintained. We recommend it highly to discerning travelers.

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT
My husband and I have traveled Europe extensively over the last three years while living in Germany. This is the best place we have ever rented. The location is amazing. All the places that you want to see in Provence is 30 minutes to an hour away. The townhouse is a short walk to the "town square" of St Remy. Every morning we would walk to the local bakery for the best baguettes. There are several quaint shopping streets and good restaurants - all within walking distance. Plan your Wednesday to stay in St Remy, as there is a market on the square. Everything was perfect. Nice beds, good linens and fluffy towels. The kitchen is well equipped. We love our coffee and were not disappointed with the french press. The washer and dryer worked great and everything in the townhouse has easy to follow instructions. We loved having the windows opened for all the fresh breezes. This property has one bad review that I can even image to be true- don't believe it!!!! Everything is as described and even better. We loved our afternoons on the quaint terrace with an afternoon glass of Provence wine. The property owner is so nice and very accommodating. I would highly recommend this place and dream of going back again.

Charming accommodations in the heart of St. Remy
During our week stay, we were delighted with this charming townhouse situated on the lavender-studded grounds of a former villa. Proximity to an excellent bakery and to the heart of St. Remy within several blocks walk made for a great start to the day and easy exploration of this lively town, its wonderful restaurants and shops, and its splendid Wednesday market. Being located on a main road out of town also made getting out to explore the surrounding environs and sites easy. The house is bright and airy with shutters and doors open. Everything was clean, well organized, and well maintained. We loved the spaciousness of the kitchen/dining area and the cozy living room that led to a small patio area, especially nice for morning coffee or an evening drink. The two upstairs bedrooms are quite comfortable, and the bathroom is nicely appointed. Armoires and a downstairs closet offer sufficient storage for clothes and suitcases. We very much appreciated the amenities such as Wi-Fi, washer and dryer, and dishwasher, as well as the starter supplies. Having a dedicated parking place within a gated community is a big plus as parking is hard to come by in busy St. Remy. Although it was quite warm during our stay, having no air conditioning was not a problem. Rotating fans are available in the upstairs rooms. Do bring a sleep mask if you want to leave the shutters open at night for air circulation. The townhouse is situated between two well-traveled roadways, leading in and out of town. Passing traffic does mean that some of the tranquility of the surroundings is lost; this isn’t a major drawback if you are prepared for it or are used to some street sounds. On weekends, motorcyclists and cars seemed to delight in racing noisily through town. In terms of overall space, this small house is probably most ideal for two people, although four people can certainly be accommodated. It is a most welcoming place to return to after a day of touring. Margaret, the owner, is as delightful as her townhouse. Her instruction manual for the house is extremely helpful, as are her recommendations for restaurants, shops, and places of interest to see. Speak with her ahead of time, and she’ll be glad to answer any questions you may have. She’ll also send you her recommendations ahead of time so you can start planning your stay in St. Remy. We are already longing to return.

St. Rémy townhome
Dear Margaret, I just want you to know how much we both enjoyed our stay at your town-home. Carine was very sweet and welcoming upon our arrival. We found your home to be very comfortable, and it had so many nice amenities. The kitchen was large, clean, and once we learned how to operate the stove, washer and dryer, we did well. Of course, it was great to have your instruction booklet to help us out! The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was clean with a great shower and we both loved the lemon/verbena soap left for us to use! We looked for some to buy to bring home, but weren't able to find that combination. :( We did buy some lemon as well as some lavender soaps, though!) As two women staying alone, we felt very safe within the locked gates of the premises, as well as walking around the town. We enjoyed walking the pathways of Van Gogh, and we walked twice to Glanum. We were both awed by the Roman ruins. All the shopkeepers and restaurant personnel were kind and we had some great conversations with the townspeople. I especially enjoyed using my French, and was happy to hear that I spoke it well!! Having rented a car, we were able to explore the area. We especially loved Les Baux and the light show was awesome!! It was great to have our own parking spot when returning from a day out. We found a grocery store without difficulty and even had fun exploring the different choices of food available. We were very appreciative of having WiFi available in the home. Thank you for all your pretrip advice and help. It made our planning that much easier. It was a pleasure to correspond with you, and your advice certainly allowed us to have such a remarkable and pleasurable trip. Merci beaucoup!

4/10 Poor

Not as good as it looks!
This little villa is situate right on a busy, noisy, dusty street with a large trash receptacle that is emptied daily at 5 a.m. and separated from the house by a flimsy fence. The picturesque terrace shown in photos is minuscule with no room for even one chaise to recline and relax. One bedroom overlooks that street and there is no view other than a trash bin. Luxury linens mentioned in a previous review were nowhere to be seen; my bed linens were full of holes. The bathroom shower greeted us with dead flies, needed a good scrub, and shows signs of mold. All in all - the property - although charmingly furnished- is not what it's represented to be and amenities were minimal. e.g. would you expect an electric barbecue to be a George Forman grill? A White tile floor throughout proved impossible to live with, needing constant mopping. I would never recommend this listing.
